RAF Questions

Hey guys, a few questions, sorry I'm a n00b, but the Blizzard RAF webpage seems kind of vague to me.

1.) Am I correct to assume that (based on reading in another thread) you have to have to have a paid account to use the RAF 3x Quest exp?

2.) I have a character in 40s and one in the 30s. Using RAF (paid or trial either way) can I still have a level 1 RAF character that I summon around to collect 3x Quest Exp?

3.) What do I have to do to get the RAF exp? Do I have to buy the game (I obviously have it already installed on 2 computers for one account) or can I just send the RAF email then pick up one of those 1-month-worth warcraft cards at GameStop to get the RAF account "active" so I can start summoning him around to wherever I'm turning in my quests.

My attempt at explaining it the best I can so you don't get too confused.


Your main account is the one that you have your main characters on.
Your Refer -A- Friend account is the one you upgrade from trail to obtain the 3x XP from Mob Grinding and Quest turn ins.


Here is a basic step to help you out.


Start a new trial account by sending an invite from your main account
Accept the invite and create a new Account using a new Username and new Password.

Your best way of using the Refer -A- Friend ability is to start two new characters. one being on the main account and one being on the Refer -A- Friend account. Note: If you do not upgrade the Refer -A- Friend account you will not be able to level past twenty.


Once the two newly created characters are in the game. Invite each other in to the group. Have one character follow the other while doing quest. Please keep in mind that if the quest require an item pick up you'll need to double the amount that you'll need. So if you need 10 bone fragments for the quest that will mean you'll need to get a total of 20 bone fragments, 10 on each character.

The only way you'll get the XP is if the following are met:

The two characters must be in the same group
The two characters can not be any higher than 4 levels for the XP gain
In order for the XP to continue until level 60 is to upgrade the Refer -A- Friend trial account to a full version which you can buy the CD Key from Blizz directly off their website.

There is a mount you'll get if you pay two months (Two months with game card or three months with a credit card) that your main account will get. Keep in mind if you pay with a credit card you'll have to wait until the credit card is charged which means 40 days. 10 Day free trail then the free 30 days you get for buying the upgrade CD Key and then after that it will charge the credit card.

if i make a trial account, from the site, does it run out after 10 days or the 90 days, or do i need to upgrade the trial to get past the 10 days??

You'll need to upgrade the Refer -A- Friend account (Trial) to a full version before you can get past level 20 or after 10 days you wont be able too log in to that account anymore.
