    MMOwned = honour among thieves?

Just seems that the world is just one big bag of irony, that a forums based on disobeying the rules of a game (and hence the contract you sign for that game) has a leecher system that is based on helping people disobey or find ways around those rules. It's a bit like torrents in that way, that these torrents are used to download illegal material, yet if you don't seed it to others people get angry. I mean, obviously if you weren't self-centred you wouldn't be downloading or sharing this illegal stuff in the first place. Can't really say one is morally upright if they download things against the law, so what makes you think they will be as upright to share those things that were downloaded wrongly in the first place? What I am trying to say I guess, does MMOwned have a right to call many of its non-posters leechers when the forum/website itself was made to "leech" off the game in a way that is actually worse then randoms not posting on these forums? Seems hugely hypocritical for a gaming website to brake the law then to call a lot of those who haven't broken the law "leechers".

Well, really, if you come on this forum you're not expecting a pretty little fansite or anything....

You come here expecting to learn ways to scam and cheat....

So I disagree, and reckon leechers is a perfectly suitable title: if you come here looking for things against the games TOU, atleast help out....

You get the leecher rank BECAUSE YOU DON'T CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING.

Contributors get their rank for, well, CONTRIBUTING.

(Yes I know I skipped Member and Active Member but tbh, Members in particular don't necessarily contribute much)

If you don't want to "break the law" then why come to a site about cheating in the first place?

in signing up for this site you are not breaking the law:eh:
if this site was illegal don't you think it would have been taken down by now?

Kiddie porn sites are illegal but there are still some on the Internet.

Okay well, that's a bad example but you get it. Hacking's illegal but there's still hacking sites devoted to hacking.

    There that's better.

Hacking something is illegal, but teaching someone how to hack for educational purposes is not.

MMOwned is not illegal, Blizzard would have taken action a long time ago. Look at the amount of registered users, thats almost 1 in 60 people who play WoW have been on MMOwned.

They contacted Matt a long time ago when the WoW site style forum was still up, forcing him to take it down and use this one instead, though.

Back on topic - Like said before, the title of leecher is given to those who register on the community and leech things off it without giving anything back, they are allowed on the site but shouldnt expect to get any special priviledges or any say in whatever goes on in the forums. Those of us who have contributed to the forum are rewarded for our work, think of it as a motivation.

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT REBUTTAL TO WALL OF TEXT ABOVE. DO NOT READ IF YOUR REPLY IS "tl;dr".

First things first: not to be an ass but... paragraphs: learn how to use those.

So, you were here since november 2007, and only NOW you got the idea of posting this masterpiece for us to enjoy? Hate to say it, but I'm a bit... disappointed for the rest of the folks here.

Now, about morals... Yeah, let's talk about morals! "Oh wait, we can't do that, because we're apparently scammers." That would be almost correct. The only reason why mmowned members wouldn't be "allowed" to talk about each other's morals is not because of this site's contents; it is because morals vary upon the individual. He who thinks morals represent a set of standards to abide simply follows the masses too much (ie: sheep).

Now... I believe the word you want to use here is "righteous". Righteous as in "so convinced of his sense of truth that he'll gleefully shove it down everyone's throat". My set of morals probably isn't close to yours, and I guess that would be the case for several people here. However, I fail to see how that gives you any right to call anyone's morals into question. Here's one thing righteous people lack: respect. And you just demonstrated it.

And as for what mmowned's rights to manage its forums and community... what about your right of telling mmowned how it should manage its forums and community?

Oh, that's right, you don't have that right.
