WoW warnings degrade over time?

Topic says it all. I've just recieved my fourth warning in my WoW carreer, and my first 3 day ban. However I've been playing since 2005, so the warnings are pretty much spread out. Does anyone know if the warnings degrade over time, or are they always active on your account no matter the time ago?

Additional question.
Is there a set amount of warnings that give you a permaban? With my four warnings and this temp ban, I'm starting to worry a bit. Any info from people with lots of warnings appriciated. Hoping for some good news.

If it matters, here are the reasons for my warnings:
1. Telling someone to go play on the highway
2. Scamming. C.o.D'ing 1 mark of Sangeras but making him pay for 250
3. Scamming. Pretty much same as above. It was too good a scam to pass. Worth the warnings even.
4. Using 3rd party software (got it today, with a 3day ban)

Thats the penalty Volcano

But as far as i am aware the warnings stay on your account for life as a record, But you warnings arnt exactly major things apart from the 3rd partys software one.
