Ban wave often?

I just bought glider. And I saw some dude lost 4 level 70s on the big ban day. Or black tuesday i herd its called. How often are these ban things? because ima do some hardcore gliding

completely random - hence why people get caught by them.

My advice: Do not glide (or bot, I got busted for openbot) on tuesdays or around a tuesday. That is when maintenance is done and the way I see it is that thats when they can update things to detect it.

I may be completely wrong though.
