If you steal a WoW cd-key

Hey does anyone know if blizzard bans CD-keys? Like If I took a picture of a cd-key using my phone and then made an account with it. When some one buys that copy of WoW then reports the cd-key as not working. Is blizzard going to ban the account made with that cd-key?

b/c I could have pretended to have bought a game, and said it was invalid when i got.

there really isn't a way for blizzard to know if that person really did buy the game and the key was invalid, instead of him just trying to get a free key w.o buying the game

My guess would be that they would ask you to provide proof that you own the game. Like taking a digital picture of your CD and CD cover w/ Key.

They may have changed things but thats what happened when I had an issue with someone else using my Lord of Destruction CD key. I had to provide a picture (Or a photocopy but i had a digicam) that showed the CD and the case with CD Key on it.

How good wouldnt that be? Your friend and you, pays half price each and buy it.. First, he use the cd-key & later on you try.

But it wont work? You report it to Blizzard, and they will need proof..

Now you take a screenshot of the CD-key & the Case etc.. And send it in, now they will see that YOU have the real.

Will you be able to use it or will they ban it? If they make you able to, what about your friend? Will he still be able to play?

If so, you will both earn alot of that.

If it works, its a good scamm & don't steal this idea from me xD

Blizzard don't ban IP's and not CD keys.

actuely they do have a way to check ^^ serial numbers on the box that the cd got shipped with ( they ask you for it if your account gets jacked, to make 100% sure )

u can always photoshop cd keys to onto wow boxes if u're pro in PS

and if i steal cd key, and buyer says it doesnt work and shows box with cd key as s proof, and then my account gets banned let say, so i can say like wtf? and show my box with cd key and claim that buyer i trying to steal my cd key 6):

Negitive. Blizzard will not ban your account. The best way to steal cd keys tho is just ripping the cd key sticker off and taking it with you.

This guy doesn't know what hes talking about. I work at best buy and if someone returns a wow saying it's used... they replace it with a new unopened one... and devo out the old one. And there is no serial numbers at all on the box. There WILL be a UPS and a sku number... which is the same on every one of them.
