Does blizzard bans retroactively?
hello
So about a year ago I used a macro recorder for like an hour to farm some fast respawning mobs, but without any random delay, only later realised how stupid i was,and never used since.(so it was about an hour long spell usage with exactly same timing in every loop)I haven't got any warning or ban, but still have anxiety about this ,does someone knows how their system works, could they still suspend or perma ban me? I would really appreciate some feedback.

Just a few months ago there were seriously retroactive bans for accounts using windows unlockers that included perma bans on accounts not even logged in for 1-2 years. In your case you're probably fine but if you want to save your specific characters you can transfer them to a different wow license on your battle.net and the old wow license is what will be banned not your new one (at least this is how it normally works). Also keep your gold in your warband bank. Blizzard normally only bans 1 wow license on a battle.net account and you can have up to 8 per battle.net account. So, if you do get banned you lose only that specific character but keep the account wide achievements, gold (warband bank), mounts, transmogs, etc.
