The easy Way. Part I - How to get to: Secret STV cave

Hey folks,

i am pretty new here and i am not english - so i apologize for any mistakes.


Foreword: There are many guides showing you to get to the secret places of WoW - however, and thats also the reason why i decided to put this up here - most guides are WAY to complicated. I saw ppl on youtube runing and jumping and runing, and slowfalling, but most of the time there are much easier ways to get to those places. Lots of ppl do know how to get to the STV cave, however, there are also many ppl who dont know.

I hope this guide will help you. Please feel free to leave crits and comment - however, please be constructive, in order to improve this guide. Thank you.

Legend: Red indicates where you came from. Green shows where to go next. I use the Catographer Addon.

Step 1:
Get to 50.38 in STV. It's right south of the Ogre Camp. At this point you can get to the next upper level. Continue as shown:



Step 2:
You actually wanna get up the hill which is highlighted in green. I only put the Goblin house there, because it helps to orientat yourself.
However, and thats a little tip: Stop by and get "Schematic: Mechanical Dragonling" . It sells very good in the AH. Also, if you are an engineer, they sell some good parts, so you dont have to waste materials.

Get up to the next level by walljumping, along the edge of the hill (see pictures):





Step 3:
Once you hit the next level, continue southbound as shown. (Stay on the same level, dont get down!)



Continue until you get to the tree shown. Get around it, and run up the hill. Stay to the left, and continue with Step 3.




Step 3:
Stay to the left. Now walljump two or three times to the right, until you can walk around. Go over the hill, then down and continue as shown.




Congraz: You made it. The cave is indicated with the purple arrow. You either can jump down (i suggest using slowfall) or if you dont have any slowfall or if you dont wanna waste any - follow the edge. At the end the terrain will fall more smoothly.


I hope this helped folks. If not, feel free to say so. I mean I spend some time making this, and if you tell me that it is a waste, fine - i wont bother myself and you with any more stupid guides xD

Edit: Oh, btw. Concerning the last screenshot: If you dont go down and continue to run westbounds, there will be a huge plane. If you decide to walk on, you will get to the blasted lands, (also to the place where you can walljump down to Nethergrade Keep (as shown in ichoppayouup's guide: check here ) and all the way up tto the swamps of sorrow. ;-)

What is in the cave?

Actually there is nothing in there, its just a cool place to hang out. The cave became pretty popular when some dude emulated a private server and put a vendor in the cave selling the "Bengal Tiger Mount".
Others say, that there really was a vendor in the beta version, however, i cannot confirm this.
