There are 4 portal guarding dragons in Azeroth : - Emeriss , Taerar , Lethon and Ysondre

They can either spawn in Duskwood(The Twilight Grove) ; The Hinterlands (Seradane) ; Ashenvale(Someplace above Satyrnaar and bridge to azhara) and Feralas(one some island next to raod to Desolace about 50,12)

People think they are portal guardians... to Emerald Dream ...

Those portals are directly linked with Emerald Dream. The dragons wandered through the portal from the Emerald Dream. And this is fairly old

If they would release it they got to continiue the Sunken Temple quest chain or was it the tempel of atal'hakkar whatever and then you can go trough the portal!

Just to clear this up, ED will not be in the next expansion pack, unless it is a patch.. it is just to unfinished, and it hasn't been announced remotely yet.

For those using mangos use .lookup tele emerald you will see 3 things come up...1 is for the emerald sanctuary in felwood or what not...the other 2 lead to 2 parts of the emerald dream being worked on...one that classes itself as a raid and one i believe to become a battle ground.

so how do you view this? Does it have something to do with the lighting contrast or some other video affect on your comp?

Probably you just need a decent enough graphics card so u can turn everything to the max. Thats how i see it.

2.3.2, it might not be everything maxed, it might be everything turned down to lowest setting.
I think it might be because I have all the shader effects turned off (now called special effects) I can see that.
Wierd thing is, i didnt change my graphics setting since I went there last... so maybe ED is still in the works

Use mapwiever and you'll see that this place have existed for a very long time, emerald dream is split up in 4 different pieces of landscapes, 2 green areas with some trees, 1 purple/black area wich you have on the picture, and another black/dark purple area with trees etc
