Ive made numerous gm tickets just with random questions and a question i've found the answer to many times is gms dont play ingame and work at the same time ^^ also just caus people are on gm island dosent mean their a gm

Actually people who say GMs wont meet you in person are lieing, they will meet you only under certain circumstances in the game and usually they are "ghost-like" (see-through) It usually deals with a graphic problem or something in game thats out of the ordinary.

These pictures seem fake, however something similar happend to me when we had a bug in a raid instance. We went somewhere else and all of a sudden a GM appeared, and teleported me over to the other raid instance to fix the problem. After fixing it we played around abit, she shapeshifted me in one of those feralas small dragons and I could fly around freely (She also played around with shapeshifts and watched the first kill of one of our bosses)! Give more of those GM's!

Hi. I am also an exploiter and i just wanted to say Shankness that GM's can appear in game. it happend to me and my friend when we were exploiting around and we was in dtv and i had my gm ticket on which made the gm notice our location :/ but it was cool. i got ressed and teleported by him. and he showed himself for us. got screenies but dont know how to upload

Eh, once I had a nice GM.
It was like 5 am on a weekday, GM was pretty bored, he didnt appear in person or anythg (not that I didnt ask him >< ), but we talked bout crap for a while. he didn't close my ticket, sometimes he left for like 5 min and then came back. And... he made smileys !

And hum, GMs can appear on PTR, I remember when they introduced naxx, GMs were making some tables that sold reagents and did some buffs for raid.

Back pre-tbc me and my guild where going MC for the first time.

Just when we where about to start on the 2 first giants a GM appears and yells "Good luck guys!", and teleports away again... everyone was just like WTF just happened on TS :P Was kinda hillarious.

And no one had a GM ticket going on. Or no one answered when we asked

To clear it up, GMs CAN appear on live servers.
Just as I reached level 70, my little brother, belive it or not, disenchanted all my gear. Yeah, may sound made up, but its true. So I called a GM, as I were standing naked in the middle of Area 52.
Out of sudden I got summoned behing the empty shack in the northern-western part of town and got a odd stun-debuff for 30 seconds. Then a game master appeared, and gave me all the gear that had been away the past 10 days.
I had to provide exact date and such tho, but I hope this may smack some sense into you.
