Progress in breaking into Tanaan

After alot of speculation on how to get in, i tried the most obvious one. Through the front door!
So its kind of basic, and i'll post some screenshots on how to do it.

1) Get ontop of the gate in Talador and stand on the side on the picture below, i used a Gnomish gravity well together with a goblin glider to get up


2) When you're standing on top of the gate on the right side you want to use a sandbox tiger or anything like it


3) You are now free to jump down (beware of fall damage! :P)

BUT! After a few meters you will encounter another invisible wall. And this is where my part ends, because i have yet to figure out how to get past it. Which is one of the reasons im making this thread already. To get the community started on breaking into Tanaan and unwrap its secrets! I hope this has been a help and has set of a few exploration geniuses to figure a way in, or use my method and find a way to bypass the wall. ^^

I've been working to go in tanaan too and I tried to enter in many ways, here my conclusions:

The East part where you have the event in the first quests is accessible but everything in the West part is inaccessible because you get stuck between four invisible walls.
Maybe with offline exploration i won't get stuck.

The dark portal isn't solid.

Sorry, y didn't screen all the things i did. But in front of the dark portal stand a door, I tried to go behind it and was blocked by an invisible wall, with a shadowstep on the spirit of bashiok I was behind but fell off the map cause the spirit of bashiok fell underneath the ground when you invoke it behind that kind of invisible wall.

I found an elite rare in Tanaan but too strong for me to kill it.

Use a remotely controlled vehicle to "scout" the invisible walls, so you don't get stuck.

I din't try that side because of the intro quests, so i din't exspect anything diffrent. But a bot solid Dark Portal is kind of interresting. Othe then that, there should be much more, since in the beta even Hellfire Citadel was there. So we have alot to find

Oh and some of the walks are sticks so watch out! And as Link* said, scout ahead with toys ^^

Its in the far north of the zone, where it connects with Gorgrond

How about get summoned from low lvl warlock that is still questing in phased tanaan jungle?

It's an impassable chunk. Goes up indefinitely.

Yea there is no way over it, only way is through it.

I find it really weird that Ive only seen my thread and another about Tanaan, is no one really interrested in it? I find it really interresting on whats in there.

I think people are definitely interested (see skipper1's thread that you referred to, which got some good hits and replies).... it is just that the area is surrounded by the sticky wall grid, and those are notorious for stopping exploration cold. It reminds me of the sticky wall grid they placed throughout the 3rd phase of Gilneas (worgen starting zone). I've yet to see someone come up with an effective way to explore that area, as you're essentially stopped cold every 20 feet. Y'all mention going above and through sticky walls... but have you considered under? These walls sometimes don't extend down and you can access areas via water under the world... but you have to be offline for that, and will still come up to dry land stuck in a 20' square surrounded by sticky walls. Same with using a Control Flight Point glitch to access the area... you'd still be essentially stuck between the sticky walls. My two cents for the moment.

Can you show me the location on the map? i can try to bypass the walls i have a few ways of going through invis walls as a rogue

Its possible to get in there, but you will get ported out.
Visited it using this old exploit found ages ago by Skuzzi and me.

It says its client side, but not anymore since Blizzard managed to **** it up somehow.
Guy that is on dual passenger mount when he jumps off he will remain on place where he jumped off "server sided" not just client.

But to clarify something new.

In Dreanor, when you are about to kill yourself by falling to death, first you will experience 1 disconnect while falling, next time you log in you will fall to your death.
Do as in guide, click release + alt+f4 instantly.
When you come back in you will be dead "under" terrain, a bit bugged but just click Release.
Proceed to find nearest water, mount up on your dual passenger and let your mate hop onto you.
2. Let the fun begin.

You will most likely get ported out duo No mans land though ^^

^^ Thanks for the update, Sarick! Your method is known to the Exploration Forum.
Blizzard ****ing it up was known as well, as we had been using it recently to get to GM Island server-side.
Didn't realize they had a no-man's land debuff in there too. Damn, the are thorough!
But if there is no fog (like in the instanced version), at least we'll get to take a good look at the area using this method.

PS - Search the exploit forum regarding the watermark... there is a macro you can use to get rid of it permanently.
