Thanks, Trokair. Unfortunately my account has been banned over a year ago as you might remember. But.. my passion for wallclimbing and exploration kind of forced me to get a new one. Although I have some gametime on that new account, I'm not planning to play continuously. Anyway, I took a look at the old Project Gilneas and Azeroth's lost City thread and I was amazed about the accomplishments of the community. Too sad that I wasn't able to follow this journey. Oh damn this is off-topic now, I'm sorry. I just wanted to add that I'm thankful for especially your and SantoriPDUs commitment concerning particular this issues.

Prove in only one video clip (without fade out/in, cutting or other stuff) that you climbed AT LEAST 60 normal jumps up.
Of course you are allowed to climb up the whole wall. I consider it as possible. But I'm not able to prove that I did it.
For now, it's difficult enough to do just a part of it.

Rules: Only normal jumps are allowed. Nothing else. You have to stay in the shown area of the wall (yellow marked).
I recommend to take the same path as me in the video. We have tried several paths and we consider this one as the best.

The red marker is on the height of ~ 60 jumps. It just gives you an impression about how high you have to get. The goal is to climb up 60 jumps, just as I did it in the video.

I hope I fulfilled all the requirements. It was an extremely tough challenge, I had never tried so many jumps in a row before, it was quite taxing on the mind. Whenever I would watch videos of walls like this I would consider it so impossible and out of this world, which I still pretty much feel. It's nowhere near as easy as it looks, but it is most definitely as fun as it looks!


New:


This area is the southern-most arctic mountain of outer Naxxramas. There are plenty of videos demonstrating the escape (through Sapphiron's room). It's not the hardest challenge, but if I am to post a challenge again I will make the next expedition a much more tedious and dangerous one.

Rules: You may use anything you wish: rocket boots, mounts, class/racial abilities. The only thing you may not use is the assistance of a comrade (pet intervene/pet shadowstep, this would make it extremely easy to climb the mountain)

Congratulations MistaKatz, I did not expect someone to solve this challange that fast! You did an awesome job, I'm really amazed. All my rep for this great accomplishment. It's a pity that we don't share a server region, I would be glad to climb some mountains together with you.

The challenge is to climb up to the "GM House" from the platform below it, which is showed in the video.

Rules: Only normal jumps, mounts and slowfall allowed. Nothing else.

Hint: If you're not sure where to start, have a look at the last few seconds of the attached video.

Oh that's nice (-: I actually thought of climbing this without rocketboots, that would have been possible since the mountain was pretty good for climbing. But I had not too much time yesterday. It doesn't matter how long it actually took but I think it wasn't more than 30mins including recording, rocketboot cds and path finding (from the starting point). Anyway a nice little challenge! Keep it up.

I had never been over to this area, it's actually really lovely. I really like the elwynn scenary with a fiery sky, quite interesting.


New:


The challenge is to successfully reach the pinnacle of Mount Drak'Tharon, a mountain residing outside of the dungeon, Drak'Tharon Keep. I haven't climbed it in quite a while, so I hope it's as difficult as I remember.

RULES: you may use mounts and slowfall, but that is it. You also need to stay on the mountain, you cannot jump from any other mountain or high point to the mountain (stay within the basic vicinity of the picture). Good luck.

Here is a clearer picture of base camp. I don't really care where you start, just start on flat ground.

I'd like to thank Skipper1 for teaching me how to enchant my shoes with glue, and MylesCore for giving me company!
Meanwhile this is the new challenge ! it's nowhere near the challenge that has been up lately but i was in a hurry

new challenge is to get up to atleast the line where the mountain gets texture back. you can only use mount and slowfall. i'd like to see if you could get all the way up on the mountain though

I have a serious question for the climbing community...

I have heard rumor of a third party program for your keyboard. Essentially it binds multiple buttons to one via a Macro, so you can, for example, press "W and Space" at the same time with one button push.
Obviously this makes wall climbing much easier for those that can't do it properly...

I'd like to get answers first from those posting most frequently in this thread. (Looking at you, Jab and Katz!)
How does the climbing community feel about this program? Are you using this for "insane walls"?
Is this "standard operating procedure" for Master Climbers... or is this sort of thing frowned upon?
