The main issue with explorations in BGs is that it it's very easy to cheat in said-battleground, and that's something Blizzard doesn't really want to see happening.
Most exploration nerfs are due to that, sadly

Absolutely Spoutnik. The method I spoke of actually grants an early BG start. Were I to post it here, it would quickly show up in exploits as a way to cheat... leading to a nerf.

So I am glad that the user asked me not to share his method...but I really wish I hadn't posted that image. It lead to me being publicly called out as a hypocrite. Honestly that doesn't sit too well with me, coming from a forum that I have shared so much with. Perhaps I should take my own advice and spend more time over with the RIdPEF...

I'm sorry if I made you feel bad, it really wasn't my intention. You've shared insane amounts of methods and explorations paths on these forums which I'm very grateful for, and as I said, I don't care about you sharing methods or not. I'm just glad that you share what you find shareworthy. In this case, it wasn't your discovery and the person that taught you about it didn't want it shared and I completely understand as I've been in similiar situation. I had so much fun with the Darkmoon Tigers before they got nerfed <3.
The image you posted was beautiful and I really enjoyed it. I don't mind people posting pictures of their explorations without showing the methods. Why would I? I'm merely enjoying the beautiful screenshots people post.

I shouldn't have posted the image. Then when skipper1 asked about it, I should have just said up front that it was someone else's method and that the condition of me learning it was to keep it under wraps. Had I been straight, you wouldn't have even had the opportunity to think otherwise. Hindsight is 20/20... live and learn.

There are certain people in this community that I consider "the good ones". A personal top twenty, if you will. You are one of those people, Elektropop. That is why it bothered me coming from you. Because I have shared so much on these forums, I figured any one of those members would give me the benefit of the doubt before calling me a hypocrite in public. That being said, of course we're still cool man. It is all good, no worries.


Frankly, you hit a nerve. I'm an old Wizard, and I grow weary of the dance. Release an exploration glitch publicly, and people quickly find a way to cheat in-game with it. I will always explore the World of Warcraft, but I believe that my time of publicly releasing methods may be drawing to a close.

The only time I dislike when someone puts up an awesome picture or video on an exploration without showing how to do it, is when after said picture or video they put ''releasing how-to at x amount of subs!'' I mean, that's just so damn annoying and selfish.
