GM Portal on Live servers

Hey OwnedCore!
I have found this portal at the exact X: 0 Y:0 Z:0 coordinates. This is a very weird portal. I did some checks on it and I can confirm that it isn't a unit, nor a gameobject.. Watch the video for more info!

This is what GMs use to port into our world. They actually come from another place. A happier place, filled with legendaries.

RAoV found something very similar but we never found a portal in XYZ(0,0,0 of a map) it would always be a fish . +rep neat find!

My theory is that all objects,monsters,npcs,ect. all have a designated location in the game world where to spawn. These objects/monsters were never given a specific spot to generate. So they are put at 0,0,0 because their location is "unknown". Hard to explain but generally if the server has no idea where you are and has no idea where to put you it will throw you to XYZ. TBH, when I was in 0,0,0 in Cataclysm, I never saw anything. But your theory is actually very interesting. The thing is, that portal has been there since 5.0.4...

Seeing as the boats used to be there, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that these are just placeholders for the server to easily identify where 0,0,0 is without needing the solid boat models. Just speculation though :/

It was in one of our videos with the method how to spawn the fish RAoV The Movie By RAoV - World of Warcraft Movies start at 21:49. I have no idea if its still there.

Thats really cool. I didn't know there was a portal down at the x,y,z of the world. Good to see new explorations, haven't really been on in the past few days because I'm busy with RL things (met somebody )

Why do you call this "XYZ" ? It is simply the maps zero point. Coordinates 0, 0, 0. Thats it.
That portal is clientside.

Here is a quote from WizardTrokair on why we call this the "XYZ" from the other post about the GM portals.

... to further clear this up..."XYZ" is a term explorers on this forum and others have been using to refer to the X:0 Y:0 Z:0 coordinates of any map for quite some time. When a WoW explorer says "XYZ", they typically mean the 0, 0, 0 coordinates of that mapID.
