Hey Ownedcore, back again with some old school exploration.
I seem to be going crazy with the explorations, let me know if I am posting too much, or just smack me upside the head and tell me to stop.
Took about an hour to find the spot, and an hour to upload these. Since I can't put two in the post, I will just give the link to the first one, and post the one that goes out of Hillsbrad.
Anyway, the first video is fairly easy. You need to be a mage, though. Follow the video to the Dwarven bunker and simply blink though the entrance, and voilà! You are inside the bunker. It is pretty useless in there. There are anvils in there, so I suppose you could do some blacksmithing or something. Blink back out if you want to get out. I am still messing around with in game recording, I think 720p is the best I am going to get for quality. Would love to figure out of my system can handle producing 1080p!
Difficulty: Easy
Old Hillsbrad Exploration Part 1 - YouTube
The next video is the video where you actually get outside the boundaries of the instance. I have searched "Old Hillsbrad Foothills" "Hillsbrad Foothills" and the like, and did not find this particular mage guide to getting outside. It is fairly simple to do as well, and most of the ones that were posted required you to mount though walls, back before it was fixed (doing it w/o the DC macro) I remember doing this back in BC when it came out on my Mage, and had forgotten about it. There was another way to do it, but it was sadly fixed. I wasn't surprised, since it was an super old school blink trick (positioning yourself correctly between a tower and the ground, and blinking to the remaining part of the tower underground, and then slow falling to water.)
Start at Tarren Mill. From there, run up like you are going to the Alterac Valley battleground portal. Take a left and follow the video until you reach the tree that has been knocked over. From there, jump the tree on the right. It will be tricky to jump from where the invisible wall is to the top of the stump, but once you position yourself correctly, you should be able to get onto the top of the stump. Once on top, go ahead and blink though the first invisible wall. Wait for blink, and blink though the last invisible wall. The reason you can blink though the wall, and not anywhere else, is because I believe you trick blink, so to speak, into thinking the wall isn't even there when you are on something other than the actual terrain of the world (I cannot think of the name of the terrains, there like M2, WMO, etc.) This could be used for other exploration as well for blinking past invisible walls that you cannot usually blink though.
Enough of the wall of text, here is the video
Difficulty: Medium (Just because that first tree is a pain to jump to get onto the fallen tree. The rest is easy mode.)
Watch in 720p for better quality.
EDIT: You can skip from around 1:00 to around 2:45 if you get the general idea of whats going on here. I forgot to speed it up with iMovie, so skipping would be advised unless you want to watch me fail for 2 minutes
Have fun exploring the rest of Old Hillsbrad. If anyone can find a way past the blue invisible wall, that would be great. The reason being is because of the mysterious ocean past it. I am almost certain it is not liquid, but it is worth a try! Lots of old school content here. Too bad the Dalaran bubble wasn't there, but the brown ground was!
Some Photos:
This last picture is a cave that is not reachable unless you do a little mountain climbing. Exploration within exploration?!
