[Challenge] Master of Exploration (Hard Mode Edition!)

The original Master of Exploration thread was intended to be open to any player. In there, submissions should be somewhat "accessible to all", and not class-only explorations, or explorations that are limited to one profession (like the Engineer and our ROCKET BOOTS...).

This challenge will be a bit different. You have to post a screenshot of yourself in the location that was last posted (same as other thread).... but in this thread, rocket-boot exploration, difficult wall climbs, archaeology tricks, disconnect macros, offline exploration... it is all highly encouraged! This thread is dedicated to the Engineer!

I know a few posters in the old sticky thread were looking to up the ante a bit, so this challenge will give them a chance. I will start with the first image (below). You must post a screenshot of yourself in the same spot... and then you can post your own image as the challenge for the next person!

Quick question, as my engineering explorer alt is leveling up... Which rocket boots? Goblin? Gnome? The belt nitro boost thing? Are they all the same?

The best ones are the ones you get in mechanaar normal or heroic. The schematics have a very low drop rate (last time i checked, 0.5% in normal, 5% in heroic) so you might want to get them from the auction house (the schematics or the boots since they are BoE)
Leather version : Schematic: Rocket Boots Xtreme - Item - World of Warcraft
Cloth version : Schematic: Rocket Boots Xtreme Lite - Item - World of Warcraft
The cloth drop rate is even lower iirc.
You only need 330 engineering to wear and use them.

You can also use nitrobooster but i think the speed boost is a bit lower than the other boots. Nitro Boosts - Spell - World of Warcraft

Nice stuff to have too is parachute cloack for slowfall :Parachute Cloak - Item - World of Warcraft

As for gnomish or goblin i don't remember which one i chose but i don't think it really matter for the exploration.

Honestly, i find the last one in the original thread a lot harder than this one :/
You just have to get there and take a screenshot, open space...

Where was the Strangletusk's chalenge ? Don't remember this place or don't know it.
Sorry if the last challenge was too hard, I found this when I tryed to go out of dire maul. I've posted a hint, now you can do it easy

For strangletuk's challenge : underwater, elf ruins, elf tower barely visible in the background. Sunken dread isle It's in the fatigue zone so you have to be quick but you don't need anything to reach it since it's really close to the other elf island.

Do NOT use heroic leap or it's too easy

For the other thread i'm still stuck :/ You can get through the ramp but i don't see how it can help you to reach this spot and i don't see where you could go through walls elsewhere .. (assuming that the vrykul drinking horn is only used to go through walls)
Since the mob near it can summon, i thought you could use it but it doesn't seem to be the case so i'm stuck once again..
To unlock this challenge, can i say where it is so other explorers can give it a try ?

I would highly encourage all serious explorers to drop a profession and pick up Engineering. I was loathe to drop my 525 Alchemy... but man it was SO worth it. I have seen so many places now with the Boots that I would have missed otherwise.

As overpowered as Heroic Leap is currently for exploration... I do not think that we should limit players to this challenge on their methods. Lets just keep the thread moving along.
As for the other thread... lets leave the two threads separate. If you're having trouble with the other challenge, please post in that thread. Thanks!

(and sorry for getting off topic with parcequefraise)

But tbh about engineering, other than for the boots (and jeeves if you suck at anticipating like me), it's useless for exploration.
Parachute cloak ? snow fall/levitate/elixirs
Mind dish/ Gravity well => fixed
What's left ? ..

There is the Gravity Well. You can disconnect at the height of your Gravity climb in a very few places (like a spot in Grim Batol that Dellion found), log back in and slowfall in one direction.

But the thread was only dedicated to engineering. It was done out of love for the Rocket Boots, yes, but your explorations do not necessarily need to be Engineering ones. Anything using wall jumping, areas in fatigue zones, disconnected exploration, etc, is encouraged. The other thread discouraged the use of the boots (as not everyone has them), so just I wanted another place for us 'Booters' to have our fun.
