[Old School] Hyjal Past Exploration (Bonus Clip at End)

Hey Ownedcore,

Back with some more old school explorations. I am aware that there are some threads out there on the Hyjal Past explorations, but I did not see one that specifically went to Winterspring, or used Heroic Leap to explore around.

Basically I ran down to where Archimond (probably butchered his name, but its the last boss) and did some Heroic Leaping and found a way outside and got into Winterspring. In the video, you can explore around Winterspring, as well as Felwood. You will probably need some sort of slowfall to get down the mountain side, as well as hook on at the right place so you can Heroic Leap to the right place. At the end, it seemed like I got stuck, but was able to get out. You can reach Felwood by doing the same warrior tricks that have been shown in my previous videos (visit my post on Old Hillsbrad Foothills on the 3rd page. There is a video on how to climb a large mountain, which can be helpful to get an idea how it works.) There is a bonus clip as well at the end. In the clip, I show how I used to get into Hyjal way back in Vanilla WoW time period (2005-2006 time period.) This is probably the only place in the game where it is still possible to do this, and I wanted to show people and reminisce the old days of exploring Hyjal.

If you are in the area, there are many places where the Heroic Leap trick works. Just keep searching around and you will find a way out!

Hey, I love the music! Is it Royksopp? I've been to the Winterspring side of the Hyjal instance, found a way over the hills from the Horde area, but it was a different part of Winterspring, and much smaller and I couldn't get anywhere else. I've yet to find a way to get myself into the Darkwhisper Gorge part of the instance though, and that's where I'd really like to go.

Thanks for sharing. As you said, there are many videos on OwnedCore showing the outer edges of the Battle for Mount Hyjal, but most focus the video on the Felwood area, and none use Heroic Leap.

I enjoyed the clip at the end. If you can believe it, I had the same bit recorded for my own BfMH video, but ended up cutting it at the last moment for video length reasons! I think a lot of us explorers had the same reaction (walk the old path) when we saw the oldschool terrain leading into Hyjal represented in this instance!

"You must spread some reputation around" should be tattooed on all OwnedCore explorer's signature... it is the story of our lives! /sigh

Nice that you found it out by yourself, and gotta love heroic leap!

But it's actully possible to get out from every direction of hyjal without using a warrior, you can check my video below (beware it's 27 min long and contains _everything_ about hyjal )

Nice I will check the video out after work, only have about 10 minutes or so.

@jjshadoe - The original music I had in there was Royksopp, but YouTube blocked it from most countries, except like 10 around the world, so I had to change it using the AudioSwap. If there isn't a way in Synrithh's video on how to get into the Gorge area, I can post a quick video on how to get in there. My way was with Heroic Leap, of course, but I can probably find a non-heroic leap way.

Nice. I actually remember doing this one as well, I am not sure if it works or not anymore. Guess I can always see. Feel like I am stuck in the Caverns of Time area haha.
