Back again with more old school exploration.
Searched around for a bit, and saw there were a few posts about this, mainly ones that require you to have a disconnect macro to get though walls. All of the other ones from back in BC/Wrath are fixed, having tried those ones out first. Searched "Eversong Woods" "Unknown area ghostlands" "ghostlands", got most of the same fixed posts back. Don't think this was possible Pre-Cataclysm, because if memory serves me right Tor'Watha used to be a replica of Zul'Aman, but it is no longer there.
I try to not use specific classes in my explorations, but sometimes it is needed. My last last resort would be using disconnect macros to get though walls.
This is probably going to be one of the hardest to explain.
Requirements:
- An 85 Warrior with the spell Heroic Leap (other classes may work as well, but Warrior is the easiest)
- A couple Noggenfogger Potions (or a similar slowfall effect)
- A lot of patience
Difficulty: Hard
Start at Tor'Watha in Eversong Woods
Right from the get-go, this exploration is pretty tricky. You have to figure out how to get up this little mountain in the picture below. I found it easiest to face the mountain and strafe to the left, going up the other mountain. In doing this, you will kind of attach to the side, and then jump forward. The symbols may help in the picture. When you latch onto the mountain where the star shape is, jump forward and you should overcome the obstacle. The red box is your goal. It took me about 20 minutes just to get past this first step.
The next part is easy, make your way up the mountain as far as you can, turn around and face the mountain.
Once you are in position, get ready for the next and last hard part. You need to get a running start and jump toward the other mountain. When doing this, you must also time it right so that you are able to Heroic Leap. The picture shows a general area where it works, but it all depends on the timing of when you click Heroic Leap in mid jump. Try all areas of the mountain, and how long until you click your Heroic Leap.
Once you have leaped over, follow the picture.
Now there are two ways you can go, either right on the green path (usually if you have Mage or Priest with you) or you could go the red path, which is geared for people with Noggenfogger Potion, or if your winging it (not suggested unless you're a rogue). For further explaining, take the red path.
Keep going...
I suggest for the next picture to Noggenfogger down slowly into the red square. Avoid the green outlined area, as you will need to hearth or auto-unstuck out of there. Keep following the red line until you hit the ocean.
Once you hit the ocean, if you leave the Eversong Woods general channel, you should be able to mount. Follow the direction of the arrow to head to Zul'Aman.
Working...
Just a little note about the invisible walls, some of them you can pass if you land on the ground and run though them, but some of them in the Zul'Aman area are impassable (haven't tested with a Mage, could be possible to blink though).
I spent a few hours running around these mountains and found this to be the easiest way. There is an even harder way that may not require a Warrior, but after a ton of swearing from falling and killing myself, I decided to find another way.
Have fun exploring! Sorry for the wall of text, and hopefully it is explained clearly. Any step that is a bit foggy let me know, I will try my best to describe it better.
Cheers!
