If I understand what you mean, then no, most of the glitches I post on this forum has been done by other people, but not posted by other people here, I only post things here if they haven't been posted on this forum before ;p.

I don't care about rep, I do of course care about the views on my YouTube channel, but that's not what I'm going for, I post them here for the reason I already said, because they haven't been posted here before, and people go here to view explorations, so.... yea.

I edited what I said earlier, I wouldn't worry about it; I think we've all been there and it's 8AM. If you are taking methods from other YouTubers here however, it wouldn't go amiss if you just mentioned them somewhere on the forum.

Whenever I take another person(s) method, I credit them if I can actually find out who was the person to discover that method, if I can't find out who originally found the method I will usually say something like "PS: I don't take credit for this method", sometimes I don't because I forget it when I make the post.

Conversation is not irrelevant imo. Most of your posts in this forum are simply re-posts.

Even if they aren't reposts on the forum, it still irritates the original explorer when their method is taken and reproduced on another video to then be posted to a forum without any mention of them. There's no rule against it on the forums, as people do it often to enhance the exploration, but it's just whether it's ethical or not to inadvertently claim it's your work.

And to you Tsantsa, no, you're wrong, I've made a couple re-posts, but that's simply because I didn't find any threads when I searched for it before I posted my thread. And whenever I do accidentally re-post something, the moderators here are good at clearing that up, if you mean re-post as in "that glitch has been done before", then I don't know what to tell you, there is nothing wrong for anyone to do something that has already been done before, my reason for doing glitches and uploading them to my YouTube channel even though that specific glitch may have been done before is to show them to my audience.

It's the fact that you can watch other peoples work, replicate it, then take the views and claim it as your own (by not referencing) without mentioning that the method used was developed by the original explorer. It's like me reading your book, writing the exact same book just with different characters names, distributing it to a different audience, and then not referencing the original author.

Not mentioning anyone/give credit to anyone as the original explorer/founder does not mean that I am automatically claiming it as 'my own', that's just... stupid. That said, I do not care and I will not take the time and research to find out who is the actual original/founder of a certain glitch, just because X was the first person to upload a video of Y does not mean that X was the founder of Y.
If by 'and claim it as your own' you mean that I claim that the video is my own if I made it, then.... yea... that should be pretty clear.

And your very bad example would be illegal and you would've been taken to court and lost a lot of money(Assuming that the book was copyright protected).

If you don't care about who "founded" or referencing, then don't watch videos such as Shunt's, effectively copy them, and upload them here just for the purpose of gaining views and subscribers. A large portion of the community here tends to frown upon that. If you're really desperate for views/likes/subscribers then go out and discover something unique.

You keep trying to say that my reason behind making a couple threads here with my videos featured in them is to gain views and subscribers, that is wrong, as I've said earlier, which you must have read as you replied to it, is to show the people here that may not have seen it.
The reason I upload YouTube videos, specifically YouTube videos where I do glitches, exploits and explorations is because I enjoy doing it.
And by the way, I didn't watch Shunt's video to discover that particular way of getting outside the Hyjal Summit.

As everyone on OC knows, if a method is new to the forum then it's not considered a repost regardless wherever else on the web it may be posted. Therefore I'm sure Bodomi would appreciate you voicing your Youtube concerns to him via private message rather than clogging up his new exploration thread.

However since the topic has been brought up allow me to add in my two cents. Exploration isn't a competition. We all have fun now and then via exploration games that are minor competitions, but I think we all know that's not what it's about. It's about finding hidden places, finally getting over those mountains to reach a new area, it's simply about the exploration. And we all share the same passion for exploration, so in my opinion it seems rather silly to be fighting with such kindred spirits.

I wouldn't call it a fight or an arguement, more an ethical discussion.I still stand by what I said regarding it. A new method posting doesn't have to be your own video, and due tothe fact you apparently didn't see Shunt's videos I guess I'll apoligise and call it a coincidence that your past two posts have been linked to Shunt's videos. Like Satori pointed out, it's best not to clog up the exploration forum. So that's all from me regarding this topic.
