[Blink Thru Walls] Blackchar Cave

Hey Ownedcore,

This is a pretty quick post on how to use WizardTrokair's blink though walls method to get to Blackchar Cave in Searing Gorge. There is nothing special about this cave, except if you have ever been there, there is no way to get into the cave, as it is blocked off by boulders. With Cataclysm, it is no longer possible to simply blink though the boulders, since they added the mountain terrain over the opening. So you must blink though walls near water and fly up there. It maybe possible to mount and DC yourself though, but the terrain may not allow for it (the mountain also covers the cave entrance, like in instances for example)

In the video I just flew to the ocean, blinked though the walls, did a 180 and used slowfall to get into the water underground, then mounted. You can use blink again to correct yourself so you are falling towards the water.

Difficulty: Easy to Medium



To get out: simply run to the opening of the cave and blink though.

I am sure this is a repost, but this method isn't, and since you cannot blink though anymore, this might be the only method. Quite useless, I know, but interesting that it has been blocked off since Vanilla and never really used. Thanks again for finding this awesome exploration tool WizardTrokair!

More exploration later on some other place, not sure where yet.

You said you did a 180 turn and used snowfall. Do you mean slowfall? I think snowfall is a hack program. It's not cool to use that for exploring.

Oh wow, I meant slowfall not snowball. I am using Safari on my Mac so it auto-corrects it to say "snowball" sorry for that!

Great, i didnt even know about that place thanks for sharing, although, i have a mac aswell and i can see ur using the ingame recording device, but when i record with it i get shit quality in the videos, any ideas ?

What you can do is try changing your video setting in the Mac options. I believe I am recoding at 20 fps, and at 1280X800 settings, on the highest quality setting.

My mac sucks, i get massive lags on ultra, so i only play on low with distance on ultra, even with low graphics i get so much lag when im in stormwind
And when i check my fps it never shows it, might be my mac thats screwed. Anyways Thanks

Yeah, I have a early 2011 MacBook Pro, so mine can still run Ultra settings pretty well, I just can't do full 1080p movies with WoW, it just won't allow it. I just installed the 64 bit client and it runs even better, only downside is if I want to record a movie I have to go back to the original 32 bit client, because movie recording is supported by the 64 bit client yet.

Great share... but obviously I'm a bit biased on the method.

I'm kicking myself for not finding this on my own... I was just outside that cave entrance the other day when looking for Lunar Festival elders. Oh man, I must do a video on my own channel if this is not common Mage knowledge... it is one of our best tricks!

Any time you're falling, you can always change direction and blink in that direction. Makes for some great exploration possibilities, like this one.
