Also, what's the point of saying you did this on live server ? It's model edit and model swapping, it's not like we have any chance of reaching this place on live server without the mpq.

You went there during patch 4.2.2 ? Well why won't you share this one ? We could atleast be able to go there on private server and it can't possibly harms your model edit for 4.3.2.




P.S : i'm not saying this exploration sucks, it is awesomely great. Just saying i hate the guy behind this for all he does that hurt the exploration community.

You should definitely google up RIDPEF and find out what it is all about. Ideology is what it is all about. Believe me.

To bad they didn't release it and we got in game a remake of a old instance.
I think they will use it on next expansion which will be all about naga, and will not be surprise if they will be playable.

if you dont give any refrence to the "how" part of the exploration, then information that could be used for OTHER exploratinos is being kept from the community, and imo that harms the community overall.

@NanaCry This thread has nothing to do with RAoV...So I don't know why you would bring it up. I am going to keep this short and sweet. Spoutnik developed the .MPQ and it his choice to keep it for him and his crew you have no say in it so could you please stop whining and appreciate that he even released footage of this map at all.

@TehVoyager Wouldn't it be more rewarding to do it on your own and feel the gratification of finding it.

@TehVoyager : I told how I got there : I manually hex-edited all of the map's terrain adts to fix the chunk affecting the camera effect. What map I swapped is useless, you can pick-up whichever you want. That's the hard part.
So, please, even if I don't care at all about rep, don't say that no info was given.
And I did share. The vast majority of this map has never been seen before (small footage is present on Across the Horizon) and I could have kept this for my own. There are some people that enjoy this, so I made a video.

Did you created the MPQ tool you're using ? Did you make the wiki you're linking at ? Didn't you use patches to get the wanted WoW client ?

Where would YOU be if no one made these tools ? No one made the first tutorials ? No one told you about what is an MPQ ? No one shared the Levitation or Mount through walls glitches ? The alpha clients ? ...

Great video and such skill to be able to accesss soemthing like this, really is intruiging. For us mere mortals though there is little we can take from this, i cant emulate your exploration, as much as i would like to. The elitism from the maker and whoever ridpef is ruins the whole idea of exploration from my point of view. If i found something that brought enjoyment to other people i would be singing about it from the top of SW, not saying "look what i can do, you cant do it ".

This perfectly sums up what alot of people would feel about this.

Good video but i beg of you to help others in the community who are obviously impressed with what you have achieved and wish to emulate it, im sure there are many on this site with a genuine interest in such a place. Can a leapord change its spots?
