    Wallwalking; It still exists.

    The patchnotes nurfing wallwalking claimed
    "Players should not be able to walk along walls"

    I stumbled upon this a while ago in Stonetalon Mountains; it seems this place hasn't been effected by the complete wipeout of wallwaking, though it has been nurfed.

    Wallwalking isn't area-based. It's hard-coded into how your character reacts to the angle of a slope. It's not like they redid the whole scenery for wow when they changed it. I remember the talk about how they had to reprogram a lot in the physics engine to make wallwalking a dead sport, well, an almost dead sport.

    Did it because I didn't want to post 4 images and do a tooltip to each. Comics are so much more efficient. :throwup:
    I'm thinking of attempting this in other areas though. It might just be seriously nurfed..

    I'm gonna have to agree with this.

    I think you've just found terrain that looks like it's too steep but actually isn't. Wallwalking has to do with the physics engine, not which area you're in.

    If you have been walljumping you can sometimes walk a bit, however it's hard and you fall down after a few steps no matter what. Ive tried it myself and it's useless. However the thing you found is useful, you can jump, walk, jump, walk and so on.

    I was walking along, and no the physics don't happen here.
    I want to say that, after I fell, I couldn't get back up. If it was physics, then I would've got back up from 1mm away from the line and continued walking. It didn't work.

    Oh, re-read, wallwalking, not walljumping.

    Walljumping is much more effective, why use wallwalking?

    You do realize that when you walljump up certain walls, because of the way the physics engine works, you can walk along the wall in a "line" because you are stuck on that axis of the wall. This is not wallwalking, this is just a different type of abuse of the physics engine.

    (Not sure if this is what's going on here, just wanted to make sure)

    Wallwalking and walljumping were fixed in 1.9

    They were unfixed with 2.0, and have yet to be refixed.

    I doubt they will spend the time to redo it with the BC engine that remade a bit of physics. They dont need to anymore anyway... Just do No-Mans Land..

    No Mans Land only currently works for zones. Such as hyjal. It won't work for areas such as under org, Ghostlands uninstanced, under instances, on top of instances, etc. (or at least, not in its current implementation)
