Just had a chat with a GM a few minutes ago. Screenshots:
If the texts comes through small, I'll give you a breakdown of the conversation.
GM: NP! Was there anything else I could assist you with?
Me: I was wondering if you could do me the honor of answering a question for me. If you'd be breaking any rules, then by all means simply tell me "I cannot answer that question", but I'd rather not get the run around.
GM: Sure
Me: It's been rumored that there are quests in World of Warcraft that players have still not discovered. I don't mean mean quests that most players haven't done, I mean quests that NO player has done due to requiring certain interaction with NPC or requiring you
Me: to be a ghost to see the quest giver, much like the BRD key quest giver. Can you confirm this?
GM: No quest has not been completed in the game. Shadowmourne's quest line was the last line of quests that had yet to be completed, and that was finished months ago.
GM: There are currently no quests available at the moment that have not yet been attained.
Me: So it's simply rumors, then? There aren't any funny quests like the "Cluck!" quest in westfall which require me to continue running around emoting NPC's to get me to react?
Me: Sorry, to get them to react.
GM: I have been told from people hire (higher) above me that there are currently none remaining.
Me: Alright, that's good to know. I have read about some funny ominous riddles that GM's have given people, but I wasn't sure if that was the GM just joking around with them.
GM:We like to have fun with players, but none are currently available.
Me: Well, that's about all the time of yours I am allowed to take up. I appreciate your straightforwardness, and your restoring my item for me. Thank you very much, Raklerynon... you have yourself a great night.
GM: You too. Good luck and take care! :P
So, while this isn't the end-all-be-all of answers, I'd say that this is a lot more straightforward and doesn't seem like a GM simply joking with people.
