And he's right...Blackrock got one and at Scholomance there are ghostquests too. The difference between the ghostquests are, that you can accept this one in the Blackrock only if you are a ghost, the ghostquests at Scholomance if you are alive. There's a difference between ghost you can see only if you are dead (Blackrock) an ghosts you can see if you are alive (Scholo - for example "Eva Sarkhoff"). Both are ghosts...

I could see blizzard doing something like this. They seem to hide stuff into the game that people dont really look into that much. If there isn't a quest I am sure there are some cool npc's or objects, etc etc. To be honest I would check the sands of time, up and around there. A ghost might go and settle there. I will go ahead and renew my account and begin the search! I would think if there is something like this it will be in Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor. Blizzard seems to go down the dumps from there on out.

Edit: ALSO i forgot to mention, there is the ghostquest in blackrock mountain. Im sure you all remember it.

Remember Ricole Nitchie? Visible with and ONLY with the Eye of Divinity, a priest level 60 trinket. She was discovered relatively fast because she was in Shattrath, in an inn. The chances of some guy walking around with the trinket were slim, but still quite substantial on a population of 11 million.

I don't play anymore, but before I quit, I started roaming around with items that make you see stuff in certain areas (like the one for seeing ghosts outside Scholomance, like beer googles, like the one for seeing those energy vortices near Oshu'gun...etc).

Now, how about you try wearing those items... while DEAD?

This is a very cool idea although data mining pretty much shoots this down. I still wouldn't be too surprised if blizzard did patch a quest in without telling anyone just for fun.

I think that's another nice area to investigate further into.

I've took a few days away from wow last week but i'm going to start again tomorrow.

Basically the main related items which may help revealing hidden Npc's are:

- Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer - Item - World of Warcraft
- Spectral Essence - Item - World of Warcraft
- The Eye of Divinity - Item - World of Warcraft
- Brazier of Invocation - Item - World of Warcraft

Just a thought, but what about that cave south of ahn'quiraj, the one with the tauren village outside of it, anyone searched that yet?

I was really interested in the use of the Brazier of Invocation but kinda got stuck. After like 20 minutes of trying to work out wtf quest chain i needed to start, and where the damn npc was i started to begin the chains when i was informed at the next part to pick up the Extra-Dimensional Ghost Revealer from a goblin in Gadgetzan.

This is where the journey kinda stopped as the goblins kinda hate me atm it'll take a week or somin long to farm rep back with them and being stoned really doesn't help so i kinda gave up.

Let me know of any other map locations u've checked for ghosts, be much appreciated feel like im running alone here.

I remember reading those threads, however, for people that is trying to figure this out, theres some points you might wanna be aware of.

- The quests were most likely implented in early vanilla WoW.
- You might have to carry specifik items/have some special buff from something completely random.
- Maybe you would have to kite a mob near another NPC/mob? Something very far away, for example kiting a mob in feralas to a NPC in Silithus, then something would happen.
- If there is a hidden NPC. He would most likely not have a quest mark over his head, so it can't be tracked, but you would have to speak to him first, then a quest mark would pop up.
- Be creative, think what most people would not think of. For example, theres an NPC (Ricole Nichie - NPC - World of Warcraft) in Worlds End Tavern in Shattrath City that can only be seen by wearing Eye of Divinity (level 60 priest trinket).

How many different special items/buffs are there? What if you need a combination of them - how many are there? And kiting a mob from Feralas to Silithus? What about from Winterspring to Silithus or Plaguelands to STV? Which mob? And do you have to use a special item, buff and spell while doing it? The whole idea of this "quest for truth" is vastly impractical, even if you spent every waking minute working on this from now until Cataclysm, you would only cover a fraction of the possibilities.

And this is assuming that there even is anything...

Why? theres no need, people have been there alive and dead. you can't think about common exploration places
