I must say that discovering and actually getting to the Caverns of Time back in the days before it opened was absolutely EPIC!
It was like NOTHING you had ever seen!

Today, most of the good stuff to explore can only be found on private servers :/

i don't agree with you, it's just like you really have to explore to find new stuff and, of course, cot was really epic, but you probably didn't find it yourself, but now, just think of any place you wanne go and if you get there and you know you did it on retail by yourself, thats kind of LEGENDARY and that's in my opinion, whats exploring is about, not viewing youtube-vids and just reproduceing (it is fun too), but really really exploring llike the changeing frozen figures in front of zg in alpha version and the new ones, finding those little things and having fun by discovering this stuf, you don't need any private server for some 'emerald dream or azshara bg'-shit!
