nice altough i think this is panic raid to delay cata =D

It's actually to bridge the expansions together. It will explain some of the lore etc and lead into the start of the Cataclysm / Event.

Like the obsidian sanctum, this instance is built in a shattered landscape of random purple mountains, with random trees flying about. The actualy sanctum part is relatively small.

How did you do that? Sandbox or pserver made for PTR? Ps, looks like the place has the skybox for netherstorm lol.

Yeap it is cheap fill-outs is the new way Blizzard works.
Although like 50% of the people that went in the Icecrown Citadel at the first day of release have not seen the Lich King yet kinda.. So imo it's even a bit to early to release something like this so I guess we will see yet another Wyrmrest boss before Cataclysm maybe? :#

People mind checking if ruby sanctum was updated? Might be changed patch by patch (If you don't know how to get on the PTR without getting a error, rename patch-3.mpq to something else)

As far as I can tell, they've added some sort of ring in the middle, which'll probably be under some doodad or other...
And they seem to be testing some textures further away, on the edge of the map.


Same skybox, couldn't be asked to look for another place. :°)

Looks rushed if you ask me, I think they're eager to get Cata out before everyone gets bored of clearing ICC HC/RS in one night.
