A very good explanation for the stone would be that the plateau was meant for a shaman totem quest. If you look at the Horde totem quests, every single of them is done near a similar stone, where you would meet up with an elemental to provide you with the quest. The markings on the ground also point to this.

Check out the picture, looking familiar? Indeed, this might have been possible air totem quest place. Someone grab a sapta and check if there's any elementals left?

EDIT: Furthermore, did you notice that earth, fire and water totem quests require you to talk to elemental spirits, whereas air totem is just about talking to a normal NPC? I presume this is a lost air totem quest place.

Ahh interesting and again with that marking on the stone i know it has somthing to do with the element of earth but ive seen it shown somwhere else..

You mention how it could be a quest chain place for Call of Air which could be true as u mention but its quite strange as the stones displayed within the water and earth totem quests show the single element on one face, except the one in fire and the stone here which shows each of the elements on all 4 faces of the stone..

The sapta which u obtain only lasts 5mins in your bag :P so u would need to portal there or something and also i can only find the alliance guy who gives the sapta, as an Orc i don't think he'd b soo kind to give me some

Well, true too. But I still think it's for the air totem, since air is the only one lacking a real quest.

Could be a possible class quest as well. I've yet to test the sapta.

EDIT: I'm considering of doing the totem quests again to obtain a sapta, which won't last for 5mins.

Idd, be nice to see the results if the location still remains and it was indeed intended to be a quest area then the Elemental spirits may still remain aswell.

I already have 2 horde shaman and 1 alliance i really cba to level a 4th :P but a guild member is levelling a shaman so i think il ask him b4 he hits the quest.
