Its incredibly easy to get outside of ZF into uninstanced terrain without this, all it takes is climbing the hills surrounding ZF...

Uninstanced areas are just like the copies of the world outside the instanceportal,
but sometimes the uninstanced part can be different from the real part because blizzard left some uninstanced places unfinished as they finished the real places.

Uninstanced world is not big and it usually ends to a worlds end. So no, you can't explore Hyjal with this. Some uninstaced places do have test areas like Deadmines outland testing area.
