Actually... that is the "designers isle" that was removed in 2.0.0... so yea...being as lazy as blizzard is they just left it on the map until wotlk came out and they had a need to change it for Northerend.

It was there when WoW came out... It was removed some time ago, can't remember when but i believe at TBC or Isle of Quel'Danas release.


Broken islands, shattered islands or sunken islands they will be propably be in the next expansion when we may be able to explore the seas and islands of Warcraft

Not really..
He was killed by Aegwyn (Medivh's from karas mom) before Medivh was born. But Sargeras' soul wasent dead. When Sargeras and Aegwyn was fighting, Aegwyn was pregnant with Medivh.
So when Sargeras' was killed hes soul lived on and corupted Medivh(who still wasent born). Medivh was born and raised. He soon took over the place as Guardian of Azeroth.
Medivh (whos soul was corrupted by Sargeras') was getting old and needed someone who could take over his place when he died. This is were young Khadgar came to Karazahn.
He was on a mision from the arch mages of dalaran, to gather information in the libary in Karazahn.
Khadgar was trained by Medivh, but as Khadgar always have been teribly curious he soon found out that Medivh's soul was corrupted and it was by sargeras.
He also found out that it wasent Medivh himself that had opened the dark portal, but Sargeras that had used medivh's body to open it.

If you actually look the picture.. you can see that... omfg those islands are replaced by Northrend!!!

Teldrassil is right next to Northrend in the world map
And that isn't the Sunken Isles I don't think.
They were more located at Maelstrom.
I thought of them to be SotA, but hey. DotA fails anyway.
