Alterac Mountains, Dalaran

Dalaran was in the Alterac Mountains. He was damaged in war, so the mages of Kirin'Tor setted shield over him, for rebuilding it. After some time they moved it to the Northrend, and only creater left in Alterac. After it was rebuilded, it become sanctuary.

If you look Dalaran from air, you can see it's shape. Then go to Alterac Mountains where Dalaran were, and look the crater.

For Clarification Purposes only, i would like to inform you that Dalaran was infact in alterac. Arthas had sent his minions to retreive a book from dalaran to do something to either illidan or guldan i dont really remember.. its tells you all about it during the installiation
