Ok, well this i old and easily found and the 'undead modelling' (lotsa corpses) is probably because it is a common location for raids on SW to group up and often... well... die.

    Re: Newman's Landing

Newman's Landing has been found to be the area where alliance players are dropped when they first create a new character, just before the opening video sequence starts[citation needed]. If you stand on the island at a certain spot you may notice level 1 characters appearing for a brief instant before they disappear. A /who query on this character will then show them in the starting area of their race. This transition takes place so quickly that the new player does not even notice this area they are dropped in. Hence the name NEWman's Landing. The mystery has been solved...

nice explanation... ill page a GM **goes in WoW**

    Re: Newman's Landing

Lol newmans landing is among the places im recording in my upcoming thread of "blizzard playgrounds" places which blizzard puts in the middle of mountains or between zoneswhich serve no real purpose like stonetalon lumbermill. quel thalas vacation house. newmans landing. other random palces liek that. aso if you Mc behind stratholome and follow that uninstanced area along the east about halfway down the north part of eastern kingdoms there is a little inn. and nsid eit are extremely small(one-two foot high) miniatures of SW cathedral, gnomish airstrip, and an undercity with no roof. i wonder if this is what our good friends at blizzard do in their spare time? caus eyou know taht space between dun morough and elqynn? if you mountainclimb over, like in the middle o it(which counts as searing gorge) theres a little flagpole like the ones in AV, and on top is a little banner with the words "Blizzard Construction Co."

These are just a few of the 38 things ive found(so far)
