    Re: Hidden area in STV

Hey mate, really nice guide you've put together, but the SS's are crap and it's not really great explained. I heard about it today and after 20min of walking around in those mountains I found may way there. The difficulty of the path is a 2/10, yes really, I did that kinda walljumping which that path include a year ago. It's simple and easy, only hard thing is knowing where to go out from some random screenshots you've taken. I've managed to find another way up btw., mine took approx. 2minutes, I'm not kidding, 2minutes and I would be by the cave. You've missed some easy ways to get there mate, if many of you are intrested I can make a movie of the way I used up there. Btw. guys, this is far from the hardest walljump in the game I've done.

    Re: Hidden area in STV

The notion that blizzard would have a hidden mount vendor in a normally inaccessable area is kinda ridiculous.

In either case, wouldn't walljumping around STV be easier than running through placeholders from the blasted lands?

Not really... you should know better bout blizzard... they love setting small mysteries and rumors etc... like the "blizz construction co." sign in hyjal and all the funky places "inaccessable" (<---wtf is wrong about that word?!?!)... maybe open a ticket, report something and if the GM is a newb (like many of them are) ask him that "the quest npc named blabla" doesnt spawn or something... maybe it'll work.

totally off topic, but the word is "inaccessible". that's why it looks wrong. =)

People won't stop taking the hard way.. I've done 3 different easy ways todo that.. and the easy way made me go ontop of the mountain that surrounds Blastedlands & Swamp of Sorrows.

No need to go through duskwood. Very simple glitch, not many people know about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZHMU4flbJw

My video showing how to get there.

I have done this on a level 14 blood elf, by the way.

    Re: Hidden area in STV

Well I went there for myself, was pretty damn easy to get there. Don't need to use hacks or anything its quite simple with 2 wall jumps. Well I arrived there and yes its quite a stange area, touches in the ground, some of those ogre banners, and meat hanging from the roof in the cave. But no mount vendor.

    http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9859/cave2ui2.jpg

I questioned a GM about the mount rumor but he wouldn't give me a straight answer. Convo screenshots provided:

    http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/6849/gmconvo2zr0.jpg (Paint ftl)

So I decided to do some research into the game files. Looked into the itemcache and all other files using HEX, and then looked in all the MPQ files using WarcraftStudio, and had a check on model viewer. I found nothing with the word 'Bengal' in it. I found all the other tiger mounts but not one Bengal.

But I will keep investigating as it's quite an interesting subject. My guess is that it either use to be in the game like the white raptor but was removed, or it hasn't been implemented into the game yet. but Id go with the first conclusion.
