I just think people aren't really exploring atm because most of the things have been seen already. Expect people to get back into it when 5.4 launches.
[QUOTE=snoxyes;2829408]I like it...
Nice pic Snoxyes.+rep if I can.
@Kurnik How's that last hint coming?
Ruins of Gilneas.
Sorry for my bad English. This isn't my native language.

I know this is gonna be an unpopular question by a lot, but is there any chance we can put up a new challenge? this challenge has been unsolved for 8 months now, and it seems like no hints are gonna help on it.
It's been an absurd length of time yes, and simply because no one can be bothered to try and find a random spot of texture - even if they do know what zone it is in. It's just dull, frankly, and I doubt it will be ever be solved simply because of this.
That being said, I'm gonna spend a few hours tonight looking for it - if I still don't manage to find it (I had a 1 hour look a few weeks ago), then I would advocate making a new challenge. These 'texture' challenges are just boring - unless it's a highly distinctive texture that is very memorable.

Agreed. I'm not an Exploration Forum mod, and I didn't start this thread... but I agree that this has gone on too long and killed any fun that this thread brings to our forum.
I urge everyone to take another look around the Ruins of Gilneas for an enclosed stone area with water (within the bridge itself, perhaps?) as ST will do tonight... and if no one has solved by the weekend I would also advocate for a new challenge.
I see that the OP (zaeBOOST) was online just 5 hours ago, so I will send him a PM as well.
*edit: He responded immediately with "I'll think of something else"... so stay tuned for another challenge.

i searched for an hour now and i hate it.
i would vote for an skiP too.
In case it was missed above (I edited my previous post, should have made a new one)... I PM'ed zaeBOOST and he will return to the thread and offer a new challenge ASAP.
And I apologize... I think I made an argument for texture-based challenges at a previous point... which I can see now was misguided.
Hindsight is 20/20. Not my challenge, but I'd hate to think that I inadvertently gummed up the works here...
I recall that was from my bitching about a new texture based challenge
Nice to hear that the current challenger will come up with a new one!
No joy on finding the texture - though I think it might be within the water portion of the Greymane Wall.
It's just next to impossible without knowing exactly where it is already - the point of challenges in this thread is for people to have a decent chance of being able to find it with some thought and exploration. A perfect example of a challenge done right is the one a while back showing Titan style pillars underwater just under the world. You could see distinctive pillars found only in some locations, giving you a perfect starting point for investigating, but didn't know exactly where these ones were. It was obscure, but could be found without much trouble by searching properly.
I just hope by the power of Grayskull that we don't get into this mess again. So people, please refrain from 'texture challenges' unless they are incredibly distinctive textures that are likely to be recognised.
