It's just on the other side of the tree, so of course. The one you posted I had to use Rocket Boots for, so I figured it wasn't suited for the thread. But again, yours will count.

Sorry for my bad English. This isn't my native language.
Where the Hell is Ellion?
Unknown Side of the World
A really fun challenge if you have an eye for details.
Will post by the end of the week if no one's found it. It really is a nice ship, though.
give us a hint :|

Throughout the entire game there is only one ship like that. There are many pirate ships (even though this one happens to be a ghost pirate ship!), but they all have a different model.

^^ Yes, but getting there without the Darkmoon Tiger will be a mystery. Is this challenge easier to do with a friend?
And where was the ghost ship... is that Deadmines? I'm such a lousy explorer when it comes to context clues!!
IMO, your challenge is just fine as long as it doesn't require any special class or profession abilities (like a Rogue's Shadowstep, or an Engineer's Rocket Boots). The intention of this thread is that challenges can be completed by any race, class or profession.
I'll leave this challenge to others... as I believe it is located in a battleground, and Trokair tends to avoid BGs like the plague.![]()
I feel that I might have solved a few too many in a row, so I'll be passing on yours for now, unless it stays up for a longer period of time, unsolved. In my personal opinion I always prefered the challenges that were less about guessing the pixels and more about finding the path, even if both are enjoyable. PvP challenges isn't something I mind either, as it adds a time limit to completing them.
However, if you're disappointed with your challenge I have nothing against it being changed. I'm terrible at making up my own challenges (I spent more time digging through my screenshot folder in order to find something somewhat appropriate than I did solving the actual challenge), so I'll only be impressed if you can come up with more so quickly.
Aye, the rules have changed and morphed over the years.
The original post to this thread was posted many years ago. It was simply a man standing under a horse's head (at the Eastville Logging Camp, iirc). The "Exploration" was simply to figure out exactly where the poster was standing and to post an image of yourself there... nothing special.
Over the years the Exploration Forum sort of grew older in its understanding of WoW Exploration. People started to post harder challenges, like reaching the top of a difficult mountain, or reaching the Deadmines Secret. This continued to evolve with the posted challenges getting harder and harder. Eventually people were posting things that required special items, or special classes, or the clearing of entire Raids to accomplish. The general WoW Exploration community did not like this, and jumped into the thread to state that the challenges should be "open to all"... that challenges really shouldn't take place in places that only certain classes, races or levels (max level raids) could reach. The general community seemed to embrace and agree with this... and you are left with the thread that we have here today.
Recently I saw a void in Exploration... people that wanted to post the harder challenges. Stuff involving Rocket Boots, or certain classes, or high-end Raid content, or even offline bugs and such. I created the "Master of Exploration - Hard Mode" thread to meet this need, and the general community seemed to embrace this as well.
Again, this is all just my recollection of the way it went down... but that is my explanation for the current state of affairs. Sorry so verbose!![]()
