    [Exploration] Flying in Azeroth

How to use flying mounts in unknown zones has been posted before but what I'd like to start discussing are the places that are possible to reach and worth exploring thanks to this exploit.

I've been using Newman's Landing as the unknown zone i start flying from, which couldn't be easier to get to and so far the most interesting place I've managed to come crashing down to has been behind Gnomeregan

To get there simply start flying upwards from Newman's landing for about a minute and then move towards the Gnomeregan area, it's possible to get quite close before dismounting

Once you do start falling, that's it, soon enough you'll land : D so be sure to bring some form of slow fall or perhaps a soul stone.

Well I guess this is kind of a little trick, but isn't this kind of the same as just

like... running into a house mounted and you dont Dismount for a few seconds..?

For example.. I am mounted in Orgrimmar and just run STRAIGHT INTO THE AH...

I wont Dismount til I'm already like halfway into the room some times.

At least your trying to Contribute, but a lot of this could be called Common Sense. Sowwy if this comes out as a flame.

    Thanks.

how do you get to newman's landing?
If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

Well with the exploit, it's of course common sense, but still one of the most fun ways of exploring IMO. surely more interesting places out there that can be reached by flying higher and using slow fall, but this was one of the first i tried and couldn't seem to find a post on these forums for reaching the area on a live realm (my mistake, seems it is possible after all!) and to twice just swim up the coast of westfall and eventually you'll reach newman's landing.

ImageShack - Hosting :: jumpyi4.jpg me and my failed attempt at reaching eastern plaguelands : D while you can fall for however long you wish , changing direction isn't possible, so i ended up reaching the ocean and dying to fatigue >.<

Swim north along the coast from Westfall. Takes a bit to get there.

You dont go there and mount up, Get a lock and 2 people to go there, you mount up in shatt, and they summon you. You accept summon and you will be on your mount!

Couldn't you make a model edit to make your client think you're in outlands/unkown and therefor fly anywhere?

You'd still need a summon, but yeah basically.
