i usually play at 240fps and if i look up (looking down makes it worse) i get 360fps average. now with wmp it drops by 10-15 fps depending where i am (in middle of shat on a busy day its at 150fps minimum normally
WMP doesn't rly effect mine :/
Get more RAM...RAM Fixes everything!(Lol)
Looking down unloads all objects and textures not being used in the scene (the ground),
While this thread is here I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me on how I might get an average of 30 FPS if possible with the current specs. I already have my Video Settings running Low.
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
1GB of RAM
256MB NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
Thanks for any help that comes up.

I'm running on an AthlonXP(Barton Core) 2600+ with a Radeon 9800XT video card and and I can keep >30 FPS in all but the most severe situations. Learn your FSB and multiplier settings. Learn VCore and its effect upon stability. Learn memory timings. Learn how to tweak your video card. Eliminate useless processes. And if you're gonna do all this, learn to casemod for better cooling. The average PC case is about as efficient as a lump of horsecrap when it comes to shedding heat.
It's not all about your hardware. It's how you use it.
'cause the devil is a loser and he's my bitch
for better or for worse and you don't care which
wow, 36 replies and not one +rep, thats just not right, i'll +rep you tho and the other ppl readin this should +rep as well![]()

Because it's not an exploit and it's not even really WoW related.
Almost all engines will do this, you should try it with any other games you have. Look down and the FPS skyrockets.
WoW does it too, but you can't look down all the time anyways. Alt+Z to remove the UI should hop you up some frames too.
Rawr!!!!!!!!!
For the last time, it's not god damn raining men!
Another way to help improve your FPS is to tell your anti-virus to exclude folders in your wow directory from file system auto-protect. (May have a different name, I use Symmantec) This prevents your AV from constantly scanning your wow while it's running.
thanks. im going to used this in shattrath.
ya i kinda figured this out when i first started LOL!!!!
