First, this is a repost. The original thread is buried under about a thousand useless posts. I figured people would rather see something useful like this than all the other random and mostly lame crap that's usually on the first page (no offense but it's true).

There is a mod called Arena Ignore that keeps track of who you fight in Arena PVP. Using a simple trick with /ignore and /deignore, it lets you know if the team you are up against is one you have fought in the past. If it is, it will post the enemy's name, race, class, and server info. It tells you this information 10 seconds after you join the arena, giving you plenty of time to go over strategy, put on shadow resist gear, etc. Here is a link to the mod: WoWInterface Downloads : Arena Ignore

This is by far the best and most useful PVP mod I have ever downloaded.

I knew about ArenaIgnore but i always thought WOW it would be awesome if it could put it up on ur frames before the game starts. Thank you and awesome find.

does this only work against people from your own realm, or it works for people from other realms also?

It works for people from all realms.

Um, last I checked, Arena Ignore uses an exploit that Blizzard just hasn't corrected yet. Also, I figured it would be more useful to have this information in a forum that people actually look at vs. one that I didn't even know existed until you just mentioned it.

I've never heard of anyone getting banned for using this program. I've been using it for about 3 months now and pretty much all the top bracket teams use it. It's something that Blizzard could easily hotfix but they just haven't yet.

i dont get this addon tough. like 90% the fights you have are vs another realm. how can they ignore other realms?

The AddIgnore Functions in blizzard's code works cross-server, much in the same way you can send a whisper to someone from a different server in a BG.

It's in the exploit forums for a reason. Don't get all righteous with me; why else would you be a member of MMOwned except to find out about this kind of stuff?

And if you actually took the time to see how the WoW API actually works, you'd know that the functions return different values depending on whether the person you try to ignore is actually there or not, regardless of faction/server.
