Extend range on ranged attacks

You can extend the range on your ranged attacks, for example lets take Shadow Bolt 2.5 sec cast and 30 yard range (36 talented)
Lets say my target is within the 30 yd range limit when i start casting it, but it runs out of range when im casting, there is a trick (requires some initial practice, but easy to master) that allows you to cast your spell succesfully even if you target is out of range.

Its very easy to perform, but it seems that it doesnt works as easy on some pcs as it does on others, when i play on my friend pc i have a harder time performing this trick, however it still works

When your casting timer is about to hit the end of the casting bar you must run forwards (direction target, obviously) you will cast your spell while running, even still when your target is out of range when running you will get 1-2 extra yards range plus 1-2 extra yards range because you are moving forward while casting, thats a 4 yard range increase, heck you can even hit targets further away.
This doesnt works with instant casts because you cant abuse the timer, simple because there is no timer.

I have been using this for very long now, Blizzard cant detect it because theyre retards, players cant either, unless they are experienced.

Have you ever seen a player that hits you from very far away when you were running? Ofcourse you did, well those players are probably using this neat little trick aswell.

What it does is that it actually cuts of a 0.1 sec of your total casting time, this can be abused in all kinds of situation, like mounting up.

Click your mount and when it hits the end of the bar move forward, while running you will suddenly pop up on your mount.

Or when trying to escape in PVP with your flying mount, click mount when it hits the end of the timer you jump and hold the jump key, you will appear on your mount in the air, sometimes a second can make the diffrence.


On my pc (this pc) it works every single time, its a common thing for me, i can do it with my eyes closed, its not as hard as it might look people

I'm sorry this seems to be happening behause of lagg.
What is your ping when dooing this?
I do this all the time with 110 ping and have done it with 78 ping but you need to move closer to the end of the casting bar.
So mainly.. Get high ping and you can do this easy.

This is partially due to latency, and partially due to only having to be in range for a part of the cast time to have a successful cast.

25 ms, works perfect, my friend his pc is hella slow, it works harder there, but yeah i tought it had something to do with latency, as many things do :]
Nevertheless, its still one hell of an exploit :]

Lol dude this is just because of lag Same thing happens with mounts and anything else with a casting bar. On a mount itll seem like you get a head start running a little then popping onto your mount but its just lag and equals out

This isin't lag related.
Blizzard just made it so that if your casting on a mob that moves it doesn't get cancelled all the time, so they give you an extra 5 yards to your range to compensate for not being able to move while casting.

This is true it has happend in the past for me but i think its due to delay / lag ....... But u never now ....
