Guys this is NOTHING new. This has been around since early 98'. It's called Ping Boosting, and if you have ever rented or ran a Half-life series or Source series server You would know what this is. It basically changes the system timings. Making things more responsive. Its used to add to a server's FPS ratings, which make a server faster. There are micro programs out that do the exact same thing, without having to run WMP.

I believe what you meant to say was that it's impossible to see fps higher than your refresh rate, but quite normally fps is higher than your monitor's refresh rate. I run ~105fps in shatt with a 75Hz refresh rate.

The human eye can only see a difference from 0-21(+/- a little maybe) Frames per second, then it doesn't matter.

Thats complete bullshit, Windows Media Player actually makes my wow run slower and when my brother is playing on his pc i have to shut it off because otherwise i wont be able to play due to massive lag

In not sure, but can't you just go to CTRL+ALT+DEL and set priority of wow to max?
