I can't see how it would. Maybe if the macro sent chat messages or spammed the server, but it doesn't. You might have an addon that went crazy and spammed after you ran the macro, but it sounds more likely to me that it was just unlucky timing.

Use the macro and it will add your current direction to the top of your minimap. That direction shows how close you are to facing due north/south/east/west. You'll have to reuse the macro if you log out or reload your UI.

The trick is, WoW has had a bug for a long time: if you face very close to one of those directions, you will stick to near-vertical walls when you jump at them.

Using the macro alone is perfectly safe and non-detectable. The real risk is getting reported by someone else for being stuck half-way up a wall. If you're careful not to get reported (i.e. no walljumping in front of the auction house), you won't get in trouble for using this macro.

Nice guide, better off just guessing where to jump from though. seeing it would take hours to look up the cords every jump. Good job though

I don't know much about what can be done with macros, but I have noticed a problem in raids or BGs.

People will be displayed on the minimap and cover the numbers, is there any way to make this display over top minimap dots?
