I was afraid this would happen. But it really isn't the end of the world. This should not be too hard to recreate with some visual addon. Like a huge arrow, and huge minimap with degrees. Just like a compass!

Wish I was good at coding addons, but I am like a monkey on a bicycle. Anyone up for it?

Don't worry, nothing was nerfed. The place I look for player direction changes similar to how memory address offsets change each patch with model editing.

I added a working version to the original post, with an added feature: all angles close to 0.500/0.000 now appear shades of green. Any angle within about 0.004 of due N/S/E/W will light up. If you don't like the functionality or the new look, I left a working version of the old macro at the bottom of the post.


As a side note, I saw someone asking on the Blizzard UI & Macro forum about this. That's actually what motivated me to fix it, heheh. Still, please don't mention the macro on Blizzard's support forum.

Yeah, this actually is pretty useful. It helped in random walljumping, although I haven't tried it in any BG's or anything.
