Get around the Blizzard downloader.

This is absolutely amazing. I left the blizz downloader on for two days (vacation), and it was still not finished upon my return. Now, 45 minutes, and done.

If you are getting a terrible download speed, then it's most likely because you don't have your torrent downloader set up properly for ports forwarded properly.

The first thing you need to do is find out your IP address. This can be done by (On WindowsXP) clicking on the Start menu, then clicking on "Run..." After te dialogue box comes up, tye "cmd" and hit enter, this will bring up a black dialogue box. In this box you will type "ipconfig" and hit enter and you will have 4 lines, the most important is your IP Address. If you are on a router, this will most likely be 192.168.1.XXX This is your IP Address that you want to write down.

The next step will be logging into your router and changing Port Forwarding to your computer. Type the "Default Gateway" address from the above box into a web browser and this will allow you to log into your router. In here there is a "Port Forwarding" tab, to which will be different on each router, so please see your router instructions on this. You need to get to this tab and enter the port given to you from the BitTorrent client, for me it was 48647. I prefer use a high port, as syphoning all the traffic frmo there is less of a concern for other programs that use any standard port to get mucked up in the process.

After you have forwarded the ports to your IP Address, you should have a lot better speeds.
