This is such a cool thread. Thanks to OP and everyone who contributed. I'd never even heard of some of these tricks.
This thread is going to be useful for lots of stuff other than Haiti.

Some extremely hot girls I bribed to advertise my youtube channel:

I tried that. I think its a leve issue. I never managed to find a solution.
The nuclear option that will almost certainly work is to simply level a hunter from scratch, go there at an appropriate level and get the debuff on pet, dismiss, and then avoid summoning it till you hit max level. A bit drastic obviously. Btw for those don't know the worgen model is pre-catclysm and quite crude, though some people prefer it.
somebody know if there is an fish or shark like morph for pets?
and how do i get hati to stay in quests which replaced my normal pet with a quest npc?

My guess is if it worked it would only work on the alliance side since the quest npc is hostile towards horde.
Welcome to the World of Warcraft [emoji14]
On a side note
There is a world quest in Val'sharah called "Lost Wisp" that has you growing trees around a fish infested lake as a Wisp. This Wisp is technically a pet and using the Essence Swapper will work on it.
Although in this case this one is actually a vehicle so this might be opened up to more possibilities

Is this permanent?
It's been hotfixed now. RIP.
seems to be fixed
Can confirm hotfixed on EU.
Was fun while it lasted
Changed OP to reflect fix.
Worth mentioning, as an end to an era, though that Kil'luun seems to turn huge on Hati though.
