Garrison 40-man Fishing (TCG Turtle, Sea Turtle etc)

With the new personal loot system in place after the patch, it seems that whenever someone throws one of the green fish you fish from your garrison into the water, everyone has a personal loot-table for the mob that spawns. This means that 40 people can catch the green fish together, then spawn 40 mobs that each has a chance to drop the riding turtle (TCG turtle), which is considerably much faster than doing this grind alone.

To use this, simply search the LFG tool for garrison fishing raids, or create one yourself.
Port to your leader's garrison, and start fishing. An efficient leader will tell people to save up green fish and then have a period when everyone spawns close after another.


I can only assume that this is not intended and will be fixed shortly, so hop on the fishing train now if you want to save yourself the grind.


Besides the TCG turtle, there's some other goodies like the sea turtle etc possible:

Some additional info:

• To fish up the murloc spawning fish you need to have lvl3 fishing shack but the corpses are lootable without it so they can be "leeched".
• The mounts are tradeable with raid members.

In case anyone is wondering, you can get the mount if you loot the Cavedwellers and your fishing is under 700/you don't have Draenor Angler achievement. Just got it myself at 376 fishing.(Auto-invite group, didn't have to deceive anyone to get in.)

It does not work like this. I saw around 10 people get riding turtles, and they were exclusive to themselves.

I heard from a friend, that someone tested with Alani mount while being in a raid group. From what I heard 5 of them dropped, i do wonder if this apply to the seahorse, TLPD, the deepholm mount and maybe even the garn nighthowls?

Edit: I remember seeing this bit in the patch notes.

I do think this have brought either some intended or unintended means into mount drops that are 100%. I think it was the youtuber asmongold that streamed it.. But I did not watch, so cant confirm it. But I believe my friend

If you were like me and don't have the draenor angler, download this addon: Fake Achievement - Achievements - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse

then go in game and type /fa 9462 8/8/15

Then you get an achievement you can link any of the groups and get in.

You don't need to download an addon, just paste this into your chat and the achievement will appear (for yourself) that you can link to others.

got both mounts in 2 hours... most groups ask for the fishing achievement, but I managed to get into a group that didn't ask me for it. so if you get in a group, just pretend that you're fishing, and loot the murlocs when they're dead... the loot is personal, so it's all up to rng. Good luck
