Priest solo Farming Gnomeregan/Underbog Exploit

Basically in both Gnomeregan and Underbog there are mobs that use Spells that do NOT set off the global Cool Down.

In Gnomeregan there is a mob called Leprous Technician and when you Mind Control him you can make a macro with ( /cast Throw Wrench ) as many times as you can fit in the macro.

Now, just Mind Control the mob and use that macro.
You will notice that every line of the /cast in your macro will go off at once, adding up to, well, over 500 damage a hit.

You can also use the same tactic in Underbog by Mind Controlling a Murkblood Spearman and using "/cast thrown" as many
times as possible in a macro.

And since Mind Control suffers from diminishing returns in PvP, it does NOT in PvE.
That means you can just chain cast Mind Control on a single Murkblood Spearman or a single Leprous Technician to solo each instance easy!

I tryed in UB, u can cast 1 spear with /cast throw, but I can NOT get it to spam many spears out! Any one can? Ofc i used macro to make:

Depends on what instance you and your buddy went to..

Hehe, Underbog was the instance. We tried a /cast thrown macro in this format:

/cast thrown
/cast thrown
/cast thrown
/cast thrown...etc, but it didn't work. We also tried one without enter, and it didn't work either. Any tips?

Did you do it on a Murkblood Spearman?

Yes, a Murkblood Spearman was used, two different formats for the macro were used, neither of them worked. Unless we are making the macro horribly wrong, I don't believe this exploit to be true, at least for Underbog.

how do you get past the trash at the door solo in UB?

Does the macro require that the /cast thrown be moved onto the pet bar? We were using the macro on the action bar.

There is no way to solo your way to the spearmen. If you bring a well geared warrior friend, or a protection paladin buddy, you can two man the first few mobs fairly easily.

That's actually pretty nice, not played my priest since the release of TBC.. Guess I'll have to go check this out ;D

Well, ill +rep when i can, and i'll look around for some more mobs that do it, maybe we can find one outside of and instance where it still works
