1000 ~ Lovely Charm's an hour! EASY
Been doing this for many years. It's easy and right to it. Back with the launch of Cataclysm, they made the spawn rate of the boars rapid due to the amount of people. Still the same to this day.
How to easily farm Lovely Charm:
1. Level an Orc Hunter to level 5
2. Go to Orgrimmar and lock the XP at the XP eliminator Slahtz.
3. Go to Kwee Q. Peddlefeet and pick up a Lovely Charm Collector's Kit
4. Hearthstone back to the starting zone
5. Start killing boars as shown in the video
6. Profit!
Bonus: To ease the pain of spamming multiple keybinds, simply use this macro. It's an all in one!
/targetenemy
/castsequence reset=10 Arcane Shot, Arcane Shot, Arcane Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot
Enjoy!

Great idea OP! Used the same thing to level my new characters to ~15 (we all hate starting zones, don't we?)
If you're alliance I'd suggest you start a human Warlock or Priest and kill murlocs!
Once you're level 3+ you will get Corruption as warlock, Power Word: Pain as priest.
Required items (for survival):
[Swift Hand of Justice] x2, Haste + HoK.
Any heirloom gear your character can equip, more health, more stats = more survivability and more damage. The faster the better, yes?
Where's the place to farm it?
Elwynn Forest -> Crystal Lake.
Never ending spawn of murlocs!

How to farm it?
Stand there and just cast Corruption or Power Word: Pain on everything!
Warlock Macro:
/targetenemy
/cast Corruption
Priest Macro:
/targetenemy
/cast Shadow Word: Pain
This work with ANY class, I do find priest and warlocks to be the best for it since they have instant dots. Druids would work very good with Moonfire if I would find a good area to find fast spawning mobs. might be the burlogs outside of Heartglen (night elf starting area, north-west of the "island").
Druid Macro:
/targetenemy
/cast Moonfire

This also works on alliance side, South of goldshire. One of the farms, I think it's the Maclure farm but it could be the other. The boars there respawn really fast around "princess". I did this with soapbox set to auto target and auto attack and sat right in the middle.
Now here's a curious question: what if you turn off exp so you never level up and can basically do it forever? I've found that it only gives charms for targets that are worth exp, but do they stop dropping if you have exp turned off?
If they still drop, you could theoretically do it until you're out of bag space, basically forever. Now, I don't know if the charms get mailed to you if your bags are full when you're in an instance, but if they do you could even hit up SM with exp off and farm the zombies even faster and do it with a bot since no one will be able to see what you're doing anyway. Obviously don't do this for like 48 hours straight or on an account you care about, but it seems to me this could work really well too if they still drop with exp off. Granted, this is all theorycraft except the alliance farm spot, but it's worth checking into. I think I've got a warrior about to hit SM level so I'll take her out there with exp off and report back later.

Good call, but I think the boars spawn faster and aren't aggro so people without looms that are doing this to make money off the shit you can buy with love tokens could get overwhelmed really fast with murlocs spawning and going aggro.
Edit: by "the boars" I'm referring to the ones at Maclure farm from my previous reply, not the valley of trials, since you're trying to give alliance a spot to farm easy.

Oooh BRAINSTORM.
Roll human hunter, go to murlocs, afk with pet on defensive. They still drop from pet kills, and the murlocs aggro, and your pet gets it's HP based on yours, so pile on every loom and enchant you can, and boom.
Unless the pet bar doesn't appear by level 5. Which would suck, because I think the pet default until the bar appears is assist.

I've never thought of the boar area, but it's totally worth a shot since they're neutral mobs. The reason I mentioned Crystal Lake is because I used it to level up fast and from OP's post I realized it's working the same with love charms.
You can't really get overwhelmed by the murlocs and if you do they die too fast to kill you. Also the reason why I mentioned the heirloom trinket (x2), Health on Kill (HoK).
Another spot that's used alot is the one in Deepholm (don't remember the exact name), but it was used for gold farming with potion. If anyone can find more places like this that's not tied to a certain race it would be awesome!

Niuzao's temple in Townlong Steppes in Pandaria has a ton of mobs you can grind through, especially with cross-realm assist.
Best class for grinding charms is marksmanship with mastery stacked-you can get 70-80 yds worth of range, that's a lot of mobs potentially.

that spots already posted, and CRX isn't really needed for it, respawns are good in that area.
(don't post things I post to Patreon.)

Any class with some sort of ranged abilities shoudl be able to pull it of. CRA is one way to go, but if you're in an automated process the best you can find is either a dungeon or a place where there's no other people.
What I think most people are interrested in is the automatic farm, wher you can simply start and be away for hours without doing anything yourself. Nontheless, thanks for the area! People that's only after the mount can really benefit from this! Do you mind taking a screen or give locations?

Yeah, any ranged class can pull off around 600 charms per hour, fine with rogue also (rogues have a ranged build incidentally) as well as dk. Boomie is the default class for most people and outperfoms the others by a significant margin.
The point about marksmanship hunter I was making is that the extra range makes a big difference to the number of mobs you can aggro at once. Combined with cra it can outperform boomie, but you need to stack a ton of mastery. There are a lot of creative approaches with farming that significantly increase efficiency that never get discussed.
The location is the area across the bridge from the shado-pan dailies in townlong steppes, to the west of the main land mass. You can't miss out because its got a 300-ft yak running around killing bugs.
I have never really understood the whole automation thing people seem to like. By that I mean that I genuinely don't understand what people want rather than disagree with them or are judging them. You can download an auto-clicker and automate very easily, it takes 30 seconds or so. I didn't understand why people thought the scarlet monastery zombies were a strong play-maybe they think that this technically doesn't break the rules the way using a clicker does but I doubt Bliz see it that way.
Btw sorry I didn't see this location posted previously. I did check but there has been so much charm stuff I must have missed it somehow.

I believe the Scarlet zombie farm is strong since it's inside an instance, aka, zero competition.
And having an automated process for it is pure win. Who the heck wants to grind for hours manually? Sure, if there's something rare like mounts, boe's, transmog etc I can understand. Using pet abilites that are working as intended doesn't break any rules and if Blizzard really cared they would've fixed it "soon™".
