I believe the Scarlet zombie farm is strong since it's inside an instance, aka, zero competition.
And having an automated process for it is pure win. Who the heck wants to grind for hours manually? Sure, if there's something rare like mounts, boe's, transmog etc I can understand. Using pet abilites that are working as intended doesn't break any rules and if Blizzard really cared they would've fixed it "soon™".

I understand why you would to automate something.

What I don't get is why people don't just download an auto-clicker.

Ah yeah, I see what you mean now.
I, myself rather have an automated process since I'd rther play other games meanwhile. If I would use an auto-clicker it wouldn't really work out while playing battefield/cs etc. Unless I would use a VM (Virtual Machine). But if you tend to farm over night/while you're away for work, school or any other reason an auto-clicker would be solid and do the job very well. Macro + auto-clicker = profit. To not be afk/disconnect a macro that would make you move a few steps forward and back would do the job even better.

Mogushan palace 2 man auto farm 1400/hour and endless mobs spawn, does reguire a BrM monk but is one of the fastes ways atm so if you cant be bothered with spawns and 600/hour something i would recommend this since ive done it the last week.

Thanks for that. I struggle to understand what sort of exploits to focus on because I can't always fathom people's motivations, this is really helpful.

Hadn't thought of a macro-I was thinking you'd need to use a mouse recorder for anything complex, good suggestion.

This thread is great and all, but I doubt it's an exploit. I would see it as a guide. Any admin able to move this thread to guides? (we're not really exploiting the game, we use game mechanics as they are intended)
