In pandaria you can realm hop and kill rares over and over, similar to how this chest works from what I gather.

This does not matter. You can kill every mob on every server multiple times and have a chance for a certain item to drop. This is intended.

In WoD, this was limited to one kill per day.

Looting Treasures was meant to be a one time loot and in this case, its an exploit, because you loot a treasure and by bypassing the actual loot process you can loot it again, which is clearly not intended.

The chest is in pandaria, just like the rares you can kill over and over. you'd just be phasing to a new realm where a new chest is. I agree it's a nice find, but I don't see how it's much different from farming the rares. I guess that's why I stay away from the exploiting world it's all the same to me.

These chests in MOP were designed to be used only once. That's why they have some good amount of gold in them. I think cross realm won't work for them if you looted all items from 1 chest, it's done.

Realm switching + partial looting helps you to avoid this restriction (able to loot a chest only once on a char), that's how I understand it...

a ban from this can easily be disputed. You can tell a GM that u looted only the gold because u didnt need the mote or whatever other item in there and u realm hopped and the gold kept showing up. You can remind them that they are the ones who made it possible to phase to another realm and treat it like u are killing rares for item(s).

i made 4k on this last night on my main and im not one bit worried about a ban or not being able to get the account back.

That argument never works with Blizzard. Almost every exploit is made possible because of something they did, or didn't do. They can, and likely will hand out bans for this. There have been permanent bans for lesser things in the past.

As others have said, very cool find, but I'd recommend caution when using this, especially on main accounts. As always, don't exploit, bot or cheat on accounts you don't want to lose.

Thats true but i honestly dont think this will be a perma action. I used an alt account to make 20K off of this and transfer gold through AH battle pets so if it gets banned then i dont mind but im confident i can refute it
