Raising your iLvl without equiping BoE's

I am sure many of you know this but for those of you that do not there is a really simple way to raise your iLvl to get into that dungeon or raid you are looking to enter.
Any item that you CAN equip will change your "highest" iLvl even without equipping it as long as it is a higher iLvl.

If that was confusing let me try in different words

Lets say I am a freshly leveled DK, my iLvl is too low for Heroics or LFR... how can I fix this? Let's buy some cloth BoE items! These items will count toward the Heroic or LFR minimum iLvl requirement while in your backpack. That way you can pass them from character to character.

I know with all of the BoA gear and tokens and whatnot leveling up alts can be pretty easy. But just in case you don't have access to those you can always do it this way!

Glad you shared this, but this has been out for a LONG time. It's not an exploit what I know and should be posted in the "guides" forum. Nontheless thanks for sharing

The item level is not only what you have equipped, it's what you have in your inventory. It was the same when you used PVP gear to get to the 'specific' itemlevel back in the day. Althoug, what people need to keep in mind is that if you want to go a dungeon or LFR as a tank or healer and you literally have crap gear you won't be able to pull your own weight, which means people WILL inspect you and, well.. You can see where it's going.. *hint; vote kick* - And from LFR/LFG 9 out of 10 people will kick you simply because there's a popup where you press accept or yes.

I like how people in these forums scream post it in guides when it's clearly exploitive, let me look at this clearly at lvl 60 as a dk you can put some lvl 100 cloth boes in your bag and your item level shoots up?

item level at level 60 is irrelevant. So if it does shoot up,it wouldnt matter. This method is basically for fresh level 100's who cant get into LFR's and dont wanna gear through heroic dungeons.
