the zombie thing is great so props for discovering it. that said all you guys who claim to get charms from stuff your pet kills alone are nuts! i've spent 5 hours flying around to different locations people claim it works and not 1x does it. i ALWAYS have to tag the mob too. but thanks to poster for sharing!

Yeah I'm pretty sure they fixed the afk method, but you can still manually farm. It's easy and pretty fast.

EDIT: It's working now somehow. Earlier today I did this for 2 hours and not a single charm. I definitely had the kit in my inventory....

found something strange out. apparently the afk pet method does work. but only in certain instance locks of the dungeon. so in other words, keep resetting instance and eventually you will still be able to afk pet farm. disregard previous comment that "you're all nuts" haha

I've never had an issue. Supremacy Servitude Infernal standing next to me all night. Woke up with 4k charms.

doing this for maybe 4 or 5 nights, have 130k+ undead kills now lol

I don't think it's fixed, at least not on my server. I just farmed 4400 a few hours ago.

you all still seem to be having WAY more luck with this than I am. if i afk and let pet kill i only make about 25-50 charms an hour. have had to manually farm the last few days which still produces a good amount but omg its boring. maybe the success of drops is server based? as mine seems to be very slow going. still a great find though! thanks again for sharing. best post i've read since the firelands power leveling one!

Yeah, you remember to set the dg dificulty to heroic, and to pick the item in Orgrimmar. You just have to talk to one of the goblins outside the AH.
You dont have to deliver the killing blow, you get the charms when your pet kills the mobs.

have done all of the above. as i mentioned in post if i let pet kill mobs solo i get them SUPER slow. if i tag the mobs i get them fairly quickly. i was just saying apparently you all have better luck than me in terms of the sheer number if charms. there was awhile there though where i wasnt getting any charms when pet only killed. but i seem to be gaining them that way now just VERY slowly

This is definitly patched on EU realms (the afk part). If the mobs are alive for more then ~50-60 seconds they award no charms. This is still a great non-afk method for all classes with hunters being exceptional with their pet or whatever other classes can do that. I got ~65 charms an hour with a pally

no need to lie, no way in hell you get 17 charms a minute regardless of what you do there if you use this method.
