Get [Heroic] Time-Lost Vikings Boss Credit on Normal (Lunarfall Inn Quest Exploit)

Hello there Ownedcore!


Here is a minor but effective exploit for Bloodmaul Slag Mines Heroic daily quest "Time-Lost Vikings", awarded by obtaining Lunarfall Inn/Frostwall Tavern for the player Garrison.
(Incidentally my friend says The Lost Vikings was a good game in its time. Also the TLPD in Storm Peaks was a reference to the game.)

But the exploit, it's pretty simple:
You can run Slagmines on Normal Mode and currently receive credit for the Heroic Gug'rokk kill for Time-Lost Vikings.



You will have to load into a Heroic mode to loot the shield, which is part 1 of the quest, but that's easy as there are only a few trash packs between you and this item as per Wowhead Olaf's Shield.



For those trying to do all the annoying dailies, I hope this helps. It was my friend who discovered this exploit while we were powerleveling my alt in Normal.

wish the feather quest was sharable as this one gives some kind of mining bag.


not to mention the quest item Olaf's Shield has a Use effect that charges an enemy every 5 min regardless of class.
undoubtedly a reference to the horde-only item from Uldaman that had a similar effect iirc.

p.p.s. a rogue or druid etc can stealth on normal to last boss for easy kill and possibly stealth to shield on heroic.

So your instructions are to loot the shield in heroic mode then reset to normal and kill last boss to get heroic achieve?

I mean im not trying to come off as a D-bag but your steps on what to do are very subtle.

haha, no not a dbag -

yah the TL;DR version would be,
go into normal mode first and get boss kill, should give heroic credit unless hotfixed,
then go into heroic mode to loot shield as it doesn't spawn in normal (we checked)

the 100 who ran my alt thru normal got H credit, but has no Ownedcore acct.
I think he just did a normal heroic queue for the shield being a warrior.
